Checking In
Hi,
I'm not doing so well. Didn't have a good appointment with psychatrist today and because I am struggling, it is difficult for me to open up.

Great start with the blood test @Arizona . Once you get that out of the way, you can work on other things. There are so many factors that cause lethargy eg sugar levels, hormones, iron levels, thyroid.
If all that is clear, then perhaps it's maybe just the need for fresh air?

Hey sis @oceangirl I was constantly tired a while ago and after having blood tests, it showed that my vitamin D was very low and my thyroid wasn't right either. Now on meds for both, hoping the tiredness will improve.
Maybe your vitamin D is low or iron.
thinking of you my friend, have a nice day xxxooo

Hi again my sister @BlueBay Glad you went and had that checked and hopefully you're feeling better. Yes my vitamin D is low and parthyroid is elevated from previous blood tests. I am on medication for my thyroid and that is different to the parathyroid. The parathyroid is not routinely tested. I do take weekly vitamin D but I take it three times a week because I have problems absorbing vitamin D. And also went through premature menopause and that might affect me too- I am sure it does. I just try to look after myself (diet, exercise, sleep, fresh air). And another thing that I struggle with is my sleep. But I am trying my best. I hope you're feeling better today. OG

What is your diet like?
For me, I have to eat a high protein, complex carbohydrate diet to have enough energy. I was on a low carb diet for about three years but it wasn't giving me enough energy.
My body needs complex carbohydrates and meat protein.
Also, I don't know how old you are, but could it be peri-menopause? Peri-menopause started for me at about 44. I'm 50 and I'm still in peri-menopause but I'm on hormone patches now. I love them.
Also, when my sleep patterns are out of whack (staying up all night/sleeping all day) I have low energy.
Hi @Arizona
My diet is good. But extra protein could be needed too.
I did go through premature menopause and that could be contributing to my fatigue. And also my sleep quality and my problems sleeping. I do have an ongoing issue with vitamin D and parathyroid, which could be making me feel tired too. Its not easy to pinpoint, the exact cause or problem. I do try my best, to look after myself, but it is hard at times, with being fatigued and having depression and anxiety.
Thank you for your message- I appreciate it. I will try to watch what I eat and make sure I am drinking enough water each day. And also to get out, and get some fresh air and vitamin D. Its probably one of the best medicines. Hope you have a good day. OG
