EdX course - The Science of Happiness

EdX course - The Science of Happiness

So there's a free online course (a MOOC) being offered by Berkeley University on The Science of Happiness, an 8 week course beginning on the 6th of September. (There is an optional certificate of completion you can buy for $49, but you seriously don't have to.) According to the gloss, it's based on positive psychology.

It estimates a commitment of 4 or 5 hours per week, with a mid-term exam and a final exam.

I kind of do and don't want to do this - it would be interesting and maybe helpful, but I'm scared about trying to do the course with depression/anxiety/multimorbidity etc etc... Fear of the unknown, I guess.

Thoughts? Would anyone like to give the course a go with me?

@CannonSalt. I say give it a go. You can't succeed if you don't try. Maybe it grabbed your attention for a reason.
I won't participate. I'm struggling with my CBT I'm doing with my psychologist at the moment. But I wish you luck. Let us know how you get on.

I agree with @utopia give it a go! If it gets a bit too much just drop.

Hi @CannonSalt

This is an awesome idea!

Would it be helpful if you started a thread about the course in here to help keep you accountable and assist with anything that the course brings up for you.

You will also be educating us too!!
