I think I will try and shout a coffee for the person lining up behind me....

Come back & let us know how it went!

Thanks for support and yes it is nice seeing the Sane notfications in the inbox.

Police usually mean stressful situations. I'll "send" calming thoughts for you and neighbour..

There are a lot of snipey people out in cyberspace.Life is tricky enough. I have seen you try and help out here when a thread went pear-shaped.

Today I got paid I live week to week but pay a ridiculous amount if rent I paid rent bills and paid for a excursion for my sons school I then went to the supermarket to get a few items I could afford for my week I went over my $22 budget I was left in tears at the register trying to rummage thru so I didn't have to leave behind the 5 pack of noodles the lady behind handed me the $2.50 I owed and gave me a tissue to wipe my tears as my kids sit down tonight to there noodles I'm so thankful to the lady whom helped me still wiping tears of happiness! That's some kindness right there trying to feed your family on less than $25 a week is already difficult she really made my day. 🙂

Thank you for your kindness in sharing story about how difficult it is to feed kids in 2015. Many people dont realise it .. but I have seen it a lot .. it is no longer my problem .. but I am still mindful of it .. and you help others in other ways too.

I was at the Melbourne show last week and we had spare tickets for the ferris wheel that we gave to the family standing behind us. They were so happy about it they said that we had "restored their faith in humanity!': womanvery-happy:

Re: Random Acts Of Kindness - Community Challenge

I was sitting outside the church the other week where they do free coffee mornings and a guy went in. I overheard the lady tell him that they were closed for two weeks for renovations. He then went looking for cigarette butts around the smokers pole. I thought he looked so dejected after not getting a cuppa. My mum had given me $20 to go out for a meal and it was the only cash I had. I finally got up the guts and got the money out and turned and walked back to him. I put out my hand with the $20 in and just said this is for you, I hope you have a nice day.

I ended up chuckling to myself after I'd thought about it. At the time I thought he might get something small to eat and drink and a packet of smokes......it's been 15 years since I smoked. I have a feeling $20 wouldn't even buy cigarettes :face_with_rolling_eyes:. I couldn't look the guy in the eye at the time as I was so nervous and eye contact is something I have trouble with at the best of times. I didn't need the reward from him though. I just felt good and hoped that I made a difference to his day. I still smile thinking about it.

I kind of thought this thread might be a good one to start up again.

has anyone else a random act of kindness they want to share?

💜🤗💐

@Teej this is great what you did ! wow.....the very financially poor help the very financially poor.

I love this and what a lovely story for the reverand to hear, I so hope someone will tell him.

Me.... well... Before Mr g went so downhill, we were trying todo one act of random kindness per day.

We knew of a little 15 year old girl who gave birth to a girl. Her and her boyfriend had much much problems ahead of them .....I could'nt get too involved because Mr g care is too hard. Once, I was visiting them every week with food to see how their schoolwork was going but no more.

But I bought them an ergo cot for their daughter. It was worth a lot of money but I got it secondhand and had it delivered to them. They have had a second child almost 9 months after the first daughter and I feelpleased that they have the cot.
