Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Re: Need to vent

Really sorry you are feeling so unloved at home right now @BlueBay 😞

I do think you need your home back again. A place to call your own. It would be a good thing if some of the kids moved into their own accommodation. And although I know you love little A to bits ... the fact is that toddlers are exhausting to have around.

Sorry your health continues to be such a concern. If hospital is needed, I hope you get in soon

Sending love.

Re: Need to vent

Do what you have to do, and whats right for you @BlueBay . But please dont take time out because you feel you are not useful here. Fact is ... you are helpful. Even when things are so difficult for you personally. I accept there are going to be times you are more needy, and you have little to give back. But thats okay ... because its the same for all of us. There will come a time you have more to give back ... and I know you will do so.

If you take time out ... please take care and seek professional help when needed. For both your physical and mental health.

Sending a big understanding hug to you @BlueBay

Re: Need to vent

We are with you in this @BlueBay . Just hold on. It's all that's needed. You don't need to fight. You don't need to try. Just wait.

Try and have something to keep you hydrated. You've been through the mill. Physical weakness, illness and pain will exacerbate your MH.

Hugs,

Re: Need to vent

Hi @BlueBay

I hear you - kids can be very hurtful at times - and when this starts to happen - this kind of conflict between the parents and their adult children living at home - then really - it is time they moved out and managed life as independent adults - I really understand this

And through my life I have found that one woman in the kitchen - in the home - raising children - is really enough - there will be arguments about how to raise the children, what to cook, how to cook, what to do when and how. My grandmother lived with us and I remember my mother and Gran fighting like cats and my grandmother must have been miserable. And I could never use the kitchen with my mother - my hackles would rise very quickly and - well - yes - it's time your daughter moved out - I know you will miss little A but you really don't need to share your bedroom with a 3 yo - that has to be inconvenience plus

When it comes to whether you spend time in the site is up to you - you have to do what is right for you - so take time out, I know you are unhappy and battling with your health - and I don't understand why you need to leave the site or why you feel other people's bad behaviour causes you to feel so undermined. I do believe this is what happens though. I am sad about this -

I get the picture sometimes that your family whines and whinges and they follow you around and you need some peace - PEACE - PEACE - gotcha - have you tried telling them to back off? That's what they need to do - that's what they need to know.

And I also realise that you and your husband have never had the nest to yourselves - your MIL moved in with you and by the time she went into a nursing home your kids were young adults and now they need their independence as much as you do. You have given your family the best of yourself - you truly have

Take the time you need - we do understand - I just want to you stick up for yourself in your own home -

Sending my best thoughts

Hi everyone

@Owlunar @BPDSurvivor @Emelia8 @MDT @Shaz51 abd others

I have a job interview tomorrow and I'm scared as hell. I'm so sick from anxiety so badly. Just still getting over nausea from last week snd now so anxious.
the job - pharmacy assistant at a private hospital. Three days a week 8-4pm. Although they are open 24 hours so I'm hoping they don't ask to wirk night shift because I won't.
it's about 30 mins from hime.

How do I get through tonight. I feel sick n the stomach. And feel lightheaded.

Been thinking of you all. Just haven't replied to your posts which I'm sorry. I've just been too overwhelmed with not feeling good. I'm trying to eat slowly and plain food.

hubby never got the bug. Damn!!!! And I'm the one that takes forever to recover.
