Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

Re: Need to vent

I hear you @BlueBay .

It's totally not right that they haven't called you or contacted you in any way. It's not right at all. I'm sure deep down they do care but from my experience people in my life that have acted this way have issues of their own. It's no excuse but when I know people are unlikely to change I know I have to learn to accept this or the pain is just too much.

Take care of yourself and sending big hugs

Hanami

Re: Need to vent

Hey @BlueBay my dear,

How are you feeling tonight?

Are you pacing yourself with the move?

Since I've moved, I feel busier than ever - doing what? I really don't know, but there's always something to do/fix 😞

Re: Need to vent

hi beautiful friends @oceangirl @tyme @hanami @Shaz51 @Eve7 @Emelia8 @MDT @BPDSurvivor and others following

I am back!!

There is some normality again. Both hubby and son have gone back to work today. It was great to have them both home for the week, both helping sort out boxes, unpack boxes and put things in place.

It is so quiet here, really nice. Even though there are 12 units here it is extremely quiet. Ours is the first unit coming in so we are not close together to others. Our neighbour is an old italian lady (which i haven't met yet, hubby has and said she is nice but deaf!!)

A few units down is a couple who happened to live behind us in our old house. And they keep to themselves as well. There seems to be a lot of retirees, and a few that work full time so the week is so nice.

Yesterday we bought a few plants and trees and planted in our front garden (tiny area) and put fairy lights on a big tree in a pot we have. its so pretty looking out the kitchen window to see the lights at night.

bought my veggies and pots so they are now growing, i am so happy.

today i have little A for the day, poor little thing she was so sick last week with a virus and her temp was going up quite high and then low and then up again. she slept a lot and had to go to the doctor. she now has asthma and had to use a puffer. but yesterday she perked up again back to normal but still has a cough. so i think today it will be a quiet day. another good thing is that we have a cafe 2 min walk down the road at the end of our street. it is nice so i think i will take little A down there today.

our xmas tree is up as well, oh and i did all the xmas shopping last friday. i took hubby with me (he was the trolley pusher!!) and i was on a mission. i got it all done, now i need to buy a few things online and i am done.

i saw my dr yesterday telling him how exhausted i am and he couldn't believe how much we have done in only a week. we now have about 10 boxes left, but we are waiting for a buffet to be delivered so i can put that stuff in.

i have been bad in not taking my meds mainly because i kept forgetting, but i am now back on track.

i am looking forward to xmas but a bit sad as well without youngest son and my parents are not coming. i asked and they said no (or should i say my mum said no) that makes me really sad for my dad.

anyway i better go and get ready, i need to drive down the raod to pick up little A from my daughters work.

i hope everyone is doing ok or as best as you can. i am sorry i haven't replied to posts i was tagged in.

xxxxxxoooooo

Re: Need to vent

So good to hear from you @BlueBay ♥😄

You have done so well to get unpacked and settled into your new home in such a short period of time.

You sound happy. I'm so pleased about that, you certainly deserve every bit of happiness and good fortune that comes your way.

Enjoy your day with little A. I hope she is recovered from the virus and asthma.

Re: Need to vent

fear of being scammed

I just had a phone call and they told me they were from telstra and that i needed to change my nbn password. i told them i am not comfortable doing this and thought for a sec that it may be a scam. but the lady was adamant and said no she is from telstra it's not a scam. because we had no phone line for 4 days and was recently fixed i thought for a sec that maybe it's true.

she then asked me to look at the router, to which i have no idea and i was panicking.

i told her no i am not going to do this and she needs to call back.

i instantly hung up and phoned Telstra to which the guy on the phone said he has no record of telstra giving me a call back. so he said it's a scam they wanted to change password so they can access my bank accounts.

OMG i was shaking, almost crying because i thought - look how easy it is to get scammed.

i told the guy i am panicking, and feeling overwhelmed and he could sense my fear on the phone and reassured me he would look into it. he came back and said block this mobile number and don't answer calls i don't know.

i am so scared at how easy it is for things to change.

@Emelia8 @oceangirl @tyme @hanami @Shaz51 i am feeling so shaky right now
