Need to vent

Need to vent

Hi everyone

I need to vent!!

I'm not coping

I'm not enjoying my new job. It's mundane, boring and triggering. For those who don't know, I was made redundant in my pharmacy job 4 days before Christmas. I then found a casual job at a supermarket. The job I do is very boring. I have far too much 'alone' time at work so my mind wanders to a lot of stuff. I asked my supervisor if i could learn the registers as thats what i would love to do. she replied that she couldn't until next year, don't know why as we are so short staffed and they need extras.

They advertise extra shifts or replacing a shift on facebook, which i really hate. but that's how they do it. i asked my supervisor if i could pick up extra shifts even though i don't know the registers. she replied yes thats fine that i would still do cleaning.

The other day a staff member posted she needed someone to do a shift. i was the first one tyo reply and accept the shift. another girl replied after me. the staff member replied back to me saying she would give that shift to the second girl as i don't know tyhe registers. I was so annoyed, angry and then upset. I feel used, and discriminated.

The problem is I am 'too scared' to confront my supervisor and ask again as i don't want the other member to get into gtrouble. so this means that i can't get any extra shifts until i learn the registers.

it is so wrong

the other issue i am having is seeing the old pharmacy customers. it's not an issue in that i see them, they love to talk. some still didn't know i had gone!!! but each time i see them and they say 'oh i am sorry to what happened to you' i get upset, hurt angry at the new owners. i miss the girls i used to work with and the job.

working for a much much bigger organisation is hard. there is so much clicks, so much politics and crap. i try to go in and do my job and go home.

but with so much time on my hands at work i start to think negatively.

i have recentyly had terrible vertigo, a 5 day migraine and today again another headache. i decided to call in sick and was spoken to so rude and short by the supervisor. it's like she doesn't believe me when i call in sick. and my anxiety is extremely high in having to ring her.

i don't have the confidence to leave and get another job. i feel i am not good enough

i am sorry to vent, i know a lot of you are struggling with your own issues. and that i should be thankful that i do have a job, as a lot of people have lost theirs.

hi friends @Shaz51 @hanami @Snowie @Eve7 @Former-Member @Emelia8 @MDT @FloatingFeather @tyme @oceangirl and others reading on

this morning i saw my psych and i told her about my complaint to legal aid with regard to me losing my job as a possible 'unfair dismissal due to mental illness'. anyway another solicitor is going to call me tomorrow morning. but i have been panicking and told my psych that i want to not go ahead with it. we talked about it and i told her i am still angry, i want validation and i don't want anyone else who works there to be treated like i was. she said this is fair enough and that i should continue and that if and when it came to a tribunal meeting i don't have to see the owner/retail manager; that i can answer questions via a video or seperate room.

that made me feel better but i will see what this solicitor says tomorrow. also spoke about my parents and my mum not letting me go over to see my dad. i am going to try again this weekend and see what she says. i still had lots of tears today.

it's been a warm day today, took the dog for a beach walk and my son came too. jersey loves the water but now it is a bit stormy, rain and thunderstorm. might be a steamy afternoon.

i hope everyone is doing as best they can; i am sending you all lots of love and hugs.

Re: Need to vent

Hey @BlueBay,

How are you feeling today? How has your week been? Hope you're feeling a bit better about your Psych visit and not so judged. It can be hard to open up and we all keep things to ourselves that ironically we probably all feel at different times, therefore natural. Communication is important but so scary too. Keep trying, I am super proud of the steps you have taken 💚

hi friends @Former-Member @Shaz51 @hanami @Snowie @Eve7 @Emelia8 and others following

i went for a coffee early this morning with my son. then i decided to go for a walk down the beach, about 1/2 hour. got home about 8.30, cleaned up a bit; did two loads of washing. I had an ultrasound done today to check the fibroids. the lady didn't say anything but said my GP will have results by monday when i see him. Then i will know if i have to see a gyno or not; depending if fibroids have grown or disintegrated.

i received a phone call from a different solictior from legal aid this morning. she asked a few more questions and asked if i can provide her with an amount of money spent on doctors, medicines, psychs and hospital stays. she then will email me and plan of action to go forward. she seems nice and understanding of mental health.

need to shower and wash my hair later on today. but for now i think i will have a little nap.

hope everyone is doing ok or as best as can be

take care my friends

xxxxoooo

Re: Need to vent

Hi @BlueBay,

Thank you keeping us in the loop of how you are getting on. The coffee, catchup and walk on the beach sounds like a really nice way to start your day. It also sounds like you have already had a pretty busy day with the ultrasound and talking to the solicitor. It's good to read that the solicitor seems nice and seems to have an understanding of mental health.

Hope you are well and your nap was/is restful.

Take care of yourself, always nice to see you on the Forums.

Warm wishes,

FloatingFeather
