Hi @Onepunch, sorry about your friend, of cause you feel numb, you are in shock. We're not wired for death so I personally chose to believe in heaven. Light a candle & maybe in sense for him every day 'till the pain subsides. You will know. There are the well known basic 'Five Stages of Grief' if you want to google it, to know what to expect (shock, denial, bargaining, anger, depression, acceptance). Most of all, BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF at this time. Self nurture as you process the impact. We're here for you, keep posting.

Dear Onepunch. I just would like to add to TAWNEY's answer and add my sincerest condolences. Try to take comfort in knowing your friend's suffering is at an end. It's hard to comprehend when we lose someone this way. Allow yourself to grieve, there may also be a type of 'guilt' feeling for you. This will be because you didn't know, couldn't help him. Even if you had suspected, there is nothing you could have done. By all means light a candle, talk to him too. Tell him you miss him, tell him you hope he is at peace. Above all, tell him you understand and forgive him for being so lost and surrounded by 'black', and unable to ask for help. .

Hi @Onepunch

I would like to add my condolences to those of @pip and @Former-Member

I feel I cannot add a "like" to these comments - the suicide of a close friend or a loved one is always such a hard thing to face - a hard thing to ever come to terms with

Having lost a son and a cousin to suicide I know there is nothing at all anyone can say to console you except to let you know we hear you and understand - but when it comes to dealing with it - it's too hard to deal with it just now - that will come when the shock has worn off the the numbness that is protecting you right now wears off and your feelings are red-raw

Lighting candles is a good way to help yourself right now - you can go to a church where there are candles - and/or - get some aroma therapy candles - they come with different aromas - and personally I have found vanilla helpful - but it is all a matter of preference

Please know that there are other people suffering too - and you are not alone in this dark place - you may not know how other people in your circle are feeling - not everyone wants to share their thinking

Also - to talk about it - there is Life Line all over Australia - and The Grief LIne in Victoria - I will see if I can find their phone number - and also websites for those who have survived suicide of a close friend or loved one

Also - this website is an excellent place to start your healing

You will be in our thoughts as you go through the ceremony and the following days and weeks -
