In too deep

In too deep

Hi there, my first post so a bit nervous.

ive long struggled with depression and anxiety, but lately, despite "doing well" I've just become more and more disassociated.

Ive been trying to hide it but I feel cracks beginning to appear, I'm in over my head and am trying to sort it out....but I'm terrified to let anyone know what's really happening for me. That I'll hurt them deeply.
how I feel and the bad choices I've made....

Re: In too deep

@LRA Others define me by my actions whilst manic .... I try not to define myself by my action and thoughts whilst mad but it is hard as it is so alive when I am taken over it is almost like being possessed.

Hi @LRA
Im so glad you have decided to reach out in a time your not feeling your best, that in its self shows a lot of strength! Being terrified to let anyone know what you're going through tells me that you care very much for the people around you even more than yourself at times. That in itself is admirable trait to have! I think you may benefit from the Beyond Blue website and even the easy to use mobile app you can download that they have, will hopefully give you some helpful resources. But If your looking for supportand someone or many to listen to what your currently going through you have found the right place. Please feel free to let me know or reach out and let myself or anyone on here know if you want to chat.

Re: In too deep

Hi there,
Don't be nervous. It is normal to question everything.
I understand your struggles, I understand you feel disassociated as your brain does not function how you want it to function. It is very hard to trust people and you will be worried about how they see you and if they can or will support you.
My advice is confiding in one person first, the one you trust the most. Explain how you feel, explain how you struggle, explain how you think you hurt them. Walk with them so I can be easier to talk about it. Ask them to hear you out, keep it simple, and talk about how you feel and how you feel about things.

Don't be upset if you don't get an answer straight away. You needed time to come to terms, they might need time as well. Explain to them what you expect, maybe just a listener. Just a friend who is there for you.

Don't give up hope, most people try to understand but make clear what you need from them.

Good luck you can get there.

P.S. You might think you made a bad choice, you will never know if you went the other way it would have had a different outcome!
