Re: Trying to stay Sane

@Anastasia of course we can chat here...I'm sorry you felt so low yesterday 😞 And especially that your boy is on S watch, oh gosh... 😞

Also sorry that you don't have more time off work...I had imagined longer. How long do you get off around Christmas?

I really hope your Dad can go home today...sorry that his chemo has been delayed 😞

Crossing fingers that the NDIS review gives your boy what he needs.

Thanks for asking about my hands, I had an objective look at them and noticed they were quite a bit better in general! My arms aren't, but my arms are easier to cover either in cover-up makeup or with sleeves. I hope your hands improve...I guess that's the least of your worries though.

I've decided not to go to the work Christmas Party as I'm avoiding large gatherings due to the breakthrough Covid risk for me. Even the small social catch-ups are making me nervous...oh well.

Sending lots of wishes for you and your family, dear friend 💚

@Anastasia

Loved ones in pain ... is never easy. It is a cost of love and a proof of love. Our situation is similar in that my son's father riles him and seems to get him worse these days. I had more hope when he was younger, but the father just does not know how to care about someone else. Doing the basics re money is not enough to really be a father, and women get to pick up the pieces. The whole male gender issues keep revolving around with sons and fathers.

Son had MH Tribunal today. A pair of glasses broke last week, and then I lost 2 old spares iin the garden. Straw that broke camel's back ... I was getting depressed ...Spoke to neighbour and she wears chemist glasses, thought I can cope with that, so I toddled down to local shops and bought first chemist pair. I now can see when I log on to the forum!

Take Care of yourself. It is the kind of thing that prn are good for getting you through.

@pancakes @NatureLover Good seeing you floating around ...

@Emelia8

Ha ha "Newly wed and nearly dead" will have to remember that one ....

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Hello @NatureLover and all here

Dad came home on Wednesday 🎉

He is weak, pretty much bedridden and using crutches. Christmas lunch is now questionable. My niece and bf are both unwell. Not covid but nevertheless can't be around Dad unless they get well.

Every year I make a calendar with photos from that year for m and dad, they so look forward to it. I haven't this year. I don't have many photos due.to lockdown and I'm not in the mood the make it and now it's not.likely it will arrive in time if I do. I'm going to put it together today, better late than never and I know how much it means to them.

Still waiting on review results.apparently backed up so another week.

I'm so proud of you with your hands, well done.

I hear you about the Christmas party, I think that's wise it's such a worrying time. I'm sorry you'll miss out but I think staying as safe as we can is important, especially given we don't know the ripple effects yet, it's early days.

How is your neighbour? Have you been able to get back to the library to replenish your books? Are you eating and drinking well? Always thinking of you dear friend. Please take care ❤️

Love and hugs to each and every one of you here and thank you for your love and support. I am grateful andso lucky you are in my life 🙏💞

Hoping your appointment went well @Eve7 🙏💞

Hoping you are sleeping and comfortable @Emelia8 and that the coming days bring more relief 🙏💞

@Appleblossom always have you in my heart. Hoping things are going your way with your son's situation and you are taking care of you 🙏💞

@outlander hoping your work and caring roles are allowing you some time for much needed self care and to recover from your injury 🙏💞

Precious @pancakes LP played loud yesterday, you're in my heart 🙏💞

@Paperdaisy such a pretty name, happy to call you friend and sending you love 🙏💞

It's FriYay, I hope each of you find some moments of joy today and over the weekend 💖

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Thanks for your update, sorry it was around 4am, which means you're still not sleeping, @Anastasia 😞

Your Dad must be so glad to be home again, although bedridden isn't nice...Good luck with making the calendar without many photos.

I've been thinking about your boy's NDIS review...hoping it provides what he needs. I hope you get the results before Christmas.

I've got that catch-up with friends today that I'm nervous about, at a shopping centre but outside at a cafe. Last psych appt for the year just beforehand. Don't have enough library books but going today after the catch-up. So that's 3 things today...a bit too much, oh well. I'm eating and drinking OK, thank you dear friend. I never eat healthily enough, but it's OK. My nice neighbour is still here...am really hoping she doesn't have to give up the house due to finances (she's a great neighbour, despite being an anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist). I think the SAD is easing at last after a couple of false alarms.

Am also aware that you were having tests for your health...I suspect that got put on the back-burner?

I hope today is not too stressful at work...thinking of you at this really difficult time. 💚 ☕ 🌻

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Hi @Anastasia ...thinking of you, your boy, your Dad and your Mum...sending wishes for all...

Saw my psychologist yesterday, it was (very unusually) depressing as she wants me to get a full medication review for all the diabetes tablets, and to see a diabetes educator again. Also we talked about me volunteering on the forums on Cmas Day, she set me a time limit of 3 - 4 hours for the day and said I'd need to take that time off my usual weekly time limit. I usually like to volunteer somewhere on Cmas Day as I don't do Cmas any more with my (abusive) family in Melbourne, just post presents to the nieces and nephews in NSW.

So I may not be around next week as much, although I will be checking in on you, don't worry, and looking for any news of you and your family, so please tag me as usual...

Sending much 💚

Hello beautiful @NatureLover

I am hoping your catch up with friends was nice and not too stressful 🙏

Thank you for your wishes for us all.

I am sorry your appointment with your psychologist was depressing. I am so pleased she takes care of you she really does sound amazing. I hope the review goes well.

I think you are a Saint and totally understand your boundaries around time spent here. I never have expectations of replies or timely responses from you. I'm not sure what will become of our Christmas so might even "see" you round on Christmas Day 🥂

My health has "settled" Dr said to follow up next year. The meds seem to have taken the edge off my anxiety and ruminating and the agitation has settled mostly.

It's a hot one here today, I intend on seeingMum and Dad and no other plans really. Bit pooped. I hope you have wonderful weather there and I am so pleased the SAD sounds like it's mostly in the rear vision mirror. 🎉

I hope you found some books of interest when you were last at the library. I bought the barefoot investor so intend on reading that over Christmas period.

Love and hugs my dear friend. Please keep taking care, love you lots 🌄🍇🍉🍊🍒🍓🍍🍌🥝☕
