Re: Trying to stay Sane

What an interesting night in @Anastasia, I like it. I don't get out much either, first time I went out in probably 5 or so years was a couple weeks ago. That'll probably do me for another year haha

Just read your post about your son having such a good day, that's so good to know. I'm really glad he had a good day and that you were able to be part of it. I hope sees many more good days from now on.

How did the rest of your night go @Anastasia?

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Hello @saltandpepper

Thank you for your message. I missed the ending as I fell asleep sadly but I know it anyway from the fable.

Where did you go on your outing? Was it ok? Is it the people/crowds that keep you from getting out. You don't have to answer if that's too personal 🙂

What do you have planned for the day?

Is it back to work for you tomorrow?

Re: Trying to stay Sane

That's so good he said it's the best day he's had since being there @Anastasia That must warm your heart.

My team plays this afternoon. Fingers crossed for a win 🤞🤞

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Haha @Anastasia wasn't riveting enough to keep you awake hey?

Just went out to a couple of pubs--dinner drinks music etc. Was a lot of fun actually and caught up with a mate of mine who is just a top bloke so that was great.

I used to have that social anxiety thing about going out--used to have crippling anxiety. But nah, was so good to get out and have a drink, talk to random people. Great night. I don't get out much because life, you know? Got married, settled down, had a kid, just got set in our isolated ways I guess. My ex left me a few months ago now, so I've just been adjusting to life. Think I'm starting to get through it now. Maybe I'll get out more now, maybe.

I work from home, self employed. My boss kindly just gave me six weeks off work, what a good boss hey? My boss is me.

Not much on today, plenty of things I should be doing but meh. Not feelin it today. What about you @Anastasia what's on for today?

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Hi @saltandpepper that's so good you are able to get out and about these days after suffering crippling anxiety. Ppl who have never experienced anxiety actually get how much of an impact on your life in so many ways. I'm glad you had a good night catching up with your old mate.

Sorry your ex left awhile ago, but sounds as though you are doing an awesome job of moving on with your life - great stuff. One step at a a time &'that you went out last night &'enjoyed yourself is a massive step forward.

Sorry for high jacking your post to @Anastasia . I'm just looking to make new friends online. I don't get out myself these days.

Hooe you're having a good Sunday!

No need to apologise @WIP

I'm unable to engage today, drowning in paperwork. It's great to see you both and it would make my day for a friendship to be formed 🌼🌻🙏✔️💯

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Hey @WIP and @Anastasia

@Anastasia that damn paperwork, hope you're sailing through it without too much of a headache

@WIP cheers for the response, I'm always happy to chat to anyone around here. Feel free to tag me in your posts if you like and this is the thread I tend to post in Help. Please.

@WIP Yeah it blows my mind when I meet people who have never experienced severe anxiety or depression. Wonder what that would be like?

Yeah it was a couple weeks ago now when I went out, was at home the night before getting drunk and depressed and I was like "fu*k this" so yeah, made plans to get out. Was a banger of a night until my brain took a big shit all over it. Eh. Semi-win is good enough.

Ex leaving has been... confusing. It's been a bit of a shit show and I wasn't doing very well with everything for a little while there but managing better now.

Thanks again for the response @WIP feel free to jump over to my thread or tag me in yours for a chat whenever 👍

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Hi @WIP 😄

I just finished watching the Sydney Swans vs Carlton Blues AFL match. I know you were wanting your Blues to win for your Dad today, and I'm sorry they could not win, especially since it was his birthday last week.

However, I was happy for my young Swannies. And my hubby would have been somewhere cheering them on.

Perhaps your Dad and my husband were watching the match together somewhere? Some healthy rivalry.

Hi @Anastasia ... hope you got through all the work you set yourself to get completed before tomorrow.

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Finally, a breather whilst dinner cooks...

@saltandpepper @WIP @Emelia8

Thank you for popping in 🙏

S&P so sorry to learn of your recent breakup. Hope you're ok? They are never easy. Also the customs issue. Never easy, I deal with them too *sigh

I can't stay here long, dinner will burn but happy you got out and about, I hope it's the start of some more adventures for you? You don't seem old, so you should be out having fun, oh what I am saying age shouldn't be a barrier to fun!!! So go grab the bull by the horns so to speak 😃

I watched the end of Pinnochio today, I did like it actually just mentally spent and my body gave in last night - happens a lot sadly.

@Emelia8 congrats on the win for your and hubby's team. Sorry @WIP it meant a loss for yours and your Dad's.

Got all the paperwork done. Then my boy called, bit of a curve ball so added to some more paperwork. That's done too now.

Think I'll have a couple of drinks with dinner coz Lord knows I need sleep tonight to stop my brain overthinking tomorrow and the next couple of weeks.

Sending you all love and light for good things to come your way 💕

Re: Trying to stay Sane

Everything still ok with your son? @Anastasia

Aw no, I was gonna say you could put the pinnochio movie on tonight to help put you to sleep... Me jokes. Glad you enjoyed it though. And even if you can't sleep, just resting in bed is good. When my mind doesn't shut off I just tell myself resting is nice and try to relax anyway.

Yeah I'm ok thanks @Anastasia pros and cons to the situation. But in some ways it's come as a bit of a relief. I know I'm not an easy person to be with so at least now the pressure is off. Don't have to explain myself or communicate things or hide things anymore. I can just be. Perhaps less painful for both of us in the long run I suppose... anyway..

What's for dinner @Anastasia? I had a burger. Went grocery shopping today for the first time in....? Not sure how long. Got some supplies now I can hibernate again for another month or two haha

I'm 31 @Anastasia but ya know, spent a good hour on the floor today just unable to move from back pain. So sometimes I feel like I'm 60. But yeah, might go out more often now, maybe. Dunno. I was in good company last time so that helped--I tend to get a bit messed up when I drink. Anyway, been talking about myself too much.

when do you see your son next @Anastasia?
