Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick update for you. Vic Roads do offer a significant discount for concession card holders - yay, happy dance!

Im going to pay 12 months, rather than the usual 6 months I pay - just in case I lose my concession card.

Thanks for all your help!

5 minutes after the email from VicRoads email came through, my racv renewal notice came through. It's never ending.......I don't think they offer a concession card discount. However, last year when I told them I wasn't renewing because of covid, not working ect, they offered 50% discount. So I'm going to try the same again.

I've been so unwell, I forgot June/July is my expensive time of year -

Body Corp fees noticifcations will arrive any day & hospital excess for when I go back in soon.

Re: Changing meds

Its hard isnt it when all the big bills seem to come in around the same time @WIP .

At least you now have the Vic Roads sorted, which is great.

Hopefully RACV will come to the party for you again this year and offer 50% off again.

Cannot do much about body corp fees or private health, but hopefully you will manage okay now.

Re: Changing meds@@

Great news about the discount for you @WIP and I hope your racv renewal can be discounted too.

It does make it so hard when all those big bills are due at once - I used to have them all come in a couple of times a year - now I pay most monthly ...it costs a little more overall but if I have to miss one payment (or defer) it is never longer than 2 weeks - so manageable. Those extra payments like hospital excess cannot be avoided though unfortunately

Your tags didn't work either Hon - but I am sure those you tagged will find you here
