Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Re: Changing meds

@Emelia8 Thank you so much for subtly mentioning 'I am worth it'.

Every day my self talk tells me I'm not worth it, because I am nothing and not worth caring about.

Today, you made me feel worthy with your kind words, even though I was having a very difficult day.

thank you kind friend, I hope you get all the kindness in return you truely deserve. Xx

You're very sweet @WIP and I thank you for making me feel a little better about myself today, by your kind and generous words.

Btw, there are no doubts at all that you are worth all our efforts to try to help you through a tough day.

I feel a warm glow in my heart to hear I may have helped you today to realise just how worthy you are.

Thank you ... you have made my day special 😄💞

Re: Changing meds

Good Morning @Emelia8 I was just thinking of you and how helpful you were to me yesterday.

I've been awake since 2am, dozing since then. I went to sleep too soon after eating.

But, I haven't woken with the overwhelming uncontrolable tears, which is great as I have a zoom psychologist appt in half and hour. I'll be sure to proudly tell her how my SANE forum family helped me yesterday.

I hope you have a decent day Em, you deserve to feel better soon.

Re: Changing meds

Hello lovely lady @Anastasia

Are you happy with your hair? I hope so

Time was Mum was good thanks. She came with bags of food to keep me going - it her way of helping me financially & also cause I don't eat properly and can go a couple of weeks without being able to front the chaos of the supermarket.

She had cooked up the roast chicken we were going to have Christmas Day & bought over half of it, with roast veggies. Cold meat (ham & turkey) with lots of salad stuff. And filled the pantry with biscs & snacks.

Im so lucky to have such a wonderful mum.

My appt went well. I'm so glad to have finally found a good clinical psychologist. It took me all bloody year, but my persistence to keep trying new ones, paid off in the end.

How are you going today? Has having your hair done, made you motivated to go out and show it off?

How was your visit to your M & D? Im thinking of your Dad and hope the treatment is helping. And thinking of your mumma too - such a stressful

time for her too.

Love you 💖🌸💖

Your Mum is lovely, that warms my heart L xx

No not eager to get out with new hair. Really just got it done due to Birthday. Now it seems so insignificant but I hate to cancel as she's busy and don't like to let her down.

I am so happy you have finally found someone that is helpful and going to ultimately be the start to your road to recovery. So so happy!

Visit was nice, just a flying one really but nice.

In an hour I have an NDIS meeting re my boy. We had a win after submitting the review. ( @Emelia8 ) Now I am to organise putting his supports in place. That's the easy part. The next stage is convincing him they are necessary. Main thing is we are getting there. Tired just thinking about it. After that just relax I think.

Love to you both x

Re: Changing meds

@Anastasia I hope your NDIS meeting goes well. I recall how stressful it was just submitting an application, I hope this next step is easier. Fingers crossed for an understanding NDIS worker 🤞

Your boy should be seeing how much work you are investing in this for him and his health, i really hope he is accepting in his response.

I understand how tired you must be from it all -'hang in there -'the benefits of all your hard work will be there soon.

Love L & Levi ❤️🤗🐶🐾
