Changing meds

Changing meds

Hi. I battled MDD & acute anxiety nearly all of my adult life. I've been on numerous different SSRIs, SRNIs, antipsychotics, tried rTMS & ECT. Am addicted to a benzo for my anxiety.

I am in the process of swapping out from a SRNI to a MAOI and the wash out period is hell. I really don't think I'm going to make it. This is the darkest place I have ever been.
I have no family support, honestly no friends, not able to work & are completely isolated.

i don't feel my medical team actually care much anymore, they are overwhelmed by new clients because of covid.

i hardly sleep, but the last thing in my mind before I do, is how much I want to die. It's the first thought of the day when I wake up.

what if this new medication doesn't work either??

Re: Changing meds

Hi. Is anyone around this morning?
I'm not travelling too well.

Have woken very teary and worried about everything. I am so far from where I'd like to be in life, I can't see a path forward. Especially when I wake up most days in such an emotional mess.

@BPDSurvivor are you up for a chat please?

How has your morning been?

Re: Changing meds

I've been in tears since I woke up this morning (not unusual) and my sister just called, so I could speak to my 9 y.o nephew. Ususally I wouldn't answer the phone when I'm distressed, but I did. I tried so hard to speak to him and ask him questions about Christmas etc (I didn't speak on Christmas Day - my sister and I aren't talking atm), but I couldn't hold a conversation for very long. And had to ask him to get his Mum. I just said to her, I've tried, I can't do it, I need to go.

It goes to show how deeply sad I am, when speaking to my nephew doesn't even help calm me. I can't keep living like this, every day a battle.

Re: Changing meds

So sorry @WIP . I know what you mean about usually being able to lift yourself to talk to nieces/nephews. And in my case, grandkids. It is a clear indication that you are struggling badly, when you just cant seem to be able to do that.

Im sure your young nephew will have enjoyed talking to his aunt however. So good on you for doing what you could.

I accept that waking up to this daily battle seems endless and unsustainable. But you must keep going WIP, because this will not last forever. There are good days ahead for you.

Sending love. And as Ive just made a pot of tea ... Im bringing you a cuppa, along with a choc chip cookie.

Perhaps @Eve7 @Former-Member @Anastasia may like to join us? ☕🍪
