Normally people just put TW or Trigger Warning at the top of their post.

Some threads I stay clear of too as they are triggering to me.

I guess it is hard with different threads as different things trigger different people and everyone reacts differently.

It is just about having strategies in place for yourself to help deal with the triggers when they arise. for example when I get triggered on here I sometimes take prn's, log off for awhile and go watch some tv, or go for a walk, go play with the dog. Some things to distract myself. It is ok to just stick to a few threads too if that is what you are comfortable with.
