I'm so glad you find the forums comforting ❤️@Bow
Oh yes! I know what you mean, I empathise with that feeling. It's good to know that you have a good psychologist, but the things that are brought up in your appt can be very triggering, so I am sitting with you

We had fried rice with curry chicken for tea @amber22
My daughter made the chicken and I made the fried rice.
I think I need to go and talk to someone.
Thanks for the chat and for caring.
@Bow I hope tomorrow goes well for you and that it helps hon.

Yum that sounds so good @Snowie
No worries at all, I'm always here if you wanted to chat. Thanks for opening up about how you have been feeling and sharing that with me ❤️

Thanks @amber22
I also often take my journal and share with her things that I have written. It helps her understand me a bit better cause I’m not big on words. But it takes alot of bravery and vulnerability to hand those pages over. It’s like bearing my soul. I’ve written a bit over the break.

That is such a fantastic idea @Bow and extremely brave of you. I would struggle sharing my journal because I find it so hard to be open, but I think that it would be something that would be really beneficial. That is very brave of you and I commend you on that. That's good that you have been writing quite a bit, do you find it to be therapeutic after you've written how you're feeling?

I do find it really helpful @amber22 I don’t journal as in writing everyday, can never commit to that! I just write when I feel like it, when something pops into my head or when I feel like I need to express something that is going on inside me.

That sounds much more manageable. I do that too, I don't think I could have the emotional capacity to do it everyday @Bow , I find that afterwards I feel really relieved but very exhausted. So glad that you find it therapeutic, I think it's a really good idea to share it with your psych. I hope that the appt goes well ❤️ Are you up to much other than that tomorrow?

I usually pop to the shops to grab a nice drink after my appointment @amber22 I don’t like to go straight home…. Need some time out before I go back to parenting 🙂

That sounds lovely, thats a nice ritual. I know what you mean about not wanting to go home straight away, just needing some time to decompress after it all. It is really overwhelming sometimes. What do you usually get to drink? @Bow

Either a chai latte or a hot chocolate @amber22 there is a nice cafe that I go to that makes hot chocolate with melted chocolate. It’s always a treat. But with this hot weather I may need to get an iced drink.!
