Hi @Eve7
Firstly, I'm so pleased for you getting the HD! What are you studying at uni? I would love to hear. I'm always interested in what people study at uni.
You are sitting with some really big feelings, I hear that in your words. No one thinks your thoughts are drivel. We are always here for you,
Sending hugs
Hanami

That sounds super interesting and also pretty full on in regards to science-y stuff. My brain does not like science lol.
Are you on holidays now? Mu daughter goes to uni and is off now until the end of Feb. She doesn't have exams though.

I have 2 weeks and 1 test to go @hanami I’m doing it online so back in January.
I don’t mind the science as I was an RN back in the day but the maths does my head in daily!

Hey @Eve7. Congrats on the HD! Well done.
Of course a shower is a win. I get how you feel about your Pdoc, I’m the same with my nurse, but if they feel you need it then you are not wasting their time

Thanks @Captain24 Ive had so many appointments this year that I’ve now reached the Medicare threshold so it’s not really costing me.
I hope your evening has improved. 💜🤗💜

At least weeds are good for feeding the bees.
Congratulations on your HD 🙂
Sending much 💛

Thank you @NatureLover @Emelia8
I have seen my pdoc this morning and now I am about to hit the shops and do some Christmas shopping. I saw the cutest little dress in DJs but almost fell over at the price tag of $135 for a 5yr old!!! I don’t think so but do people pay that??? I needed a chai to calm down and then I’ll try Target.
I thanked pdoc for making time for me today and I assured her she doesn’t need to put herself out like this. I guess I’m grateful that she is concerned.
How are you today Em? and NL?
Love to you both.

Hi @Eve7 thats ridiculous to pay that sort of money for something they will probably grow out of within 6 months.
You could probably go to a second hand place and pick up same or similar for a fraction of the cost. And barely worn. 👗
Well done with the PDoc. 👍
I am doing a little better each day. But that unfortunately also means I am doing more, hurting more, needing more pain relief, etc. And now I can see how all my muscle had wasted away (lack of use) and arms and legs withered away to saggy skin over bone (ice chip diet for 8 days and limited food intake since). Might take a bit of building up from here.
At this stage I wont be flown back to my regional hospital to begin rehab until Thursday.
How was that chai @Eve7 ? Wish I could join you. Beverage trolley here is somewhat limited - tea, coffee, lemonade, apple juice, choc milk, and strawberry milk. I stick with tea, which I like of course. But much prefer leaf tea over teabag. Sometimes I have peppermint tea to try to settle a nauseous tummy. But my first preferences, they dont have. Ie hot drink ... chai latte (when not nauseous); cold drink ... iced coffee milk (not as sweet as other flavours). But not to be. Wouldnt you think, as a long term resident (16 days and counting) that my preferences would hold some sway? 😆
Anyway Eve, after all that drivel, end story .. I would love to have a chai with you.
