Why can 1 person’s actions ruin an otherwise beautiful day??? I am now a blubbering mess and I’m unsure if I will be able to discuss this situation with pdoc in the morning.

I am so distressed right now.

I'm sorry about this 😞 I hope you wake up feeling able to discuss it with your pdoc (if that's the right thing for you). Also hope you were able to get to sleep last night... Sending hugs and much 💛

Re: Morning has broken

Well this morning wasn't what I was expecting...attended hospital appointment in Nuclear medicine to have tests to ascertain air and oxygen flow to my lungs which would also, hopefully, show reason for my increased pulmonary artery.

It took ages for them to get a cannula in my non existent veins and they had to call their super nurse who managed to get it first go! So far, so good....then I had to breathe in radio active air for the first scan which took about 15 minutes, followed by the contrast dye scan, another 15 minutes and then 2 quick rides through the CT scan. I thought would be it...but wait out here they said while the Radiologist checks the scans, before the cannula can be removed and then I would be able to go.

So I waited and waited and then I was told the Dr would come and speak to me...didn't like the sound of that.

The Respiratory Physician finally came to chat after 2 hours and took me into a private room. Now, remember I did a triathlon just 4 days ago so what could be wrong?? Turns out there are several blood clots on my lungs!! I'm in shock but, I don't appear to have any tumours and they do not appear to be affecting my hear at this point. I do struggle to breathe when I exercise but always attribute that to a lifetime of asthma.

What now? Blood thinners!!! Just paid over $100 at the chemist!! Funny thing, while waiting I had a call from pdoc offering me an appointment on Monday next week instead of Thursday..No, I'll be fine until Thursday says confident me...should have taken up the offer,

Sorry about the rant. I was at the hospital for over 4 hours!!! Parking cost $17.50!

Hope everyone else is having a less eventful day!

Oh @Eve7 you have certainly had a big day! And I am super glad that they found those clots when they did. Please take it easy and look after yourself 💕

Oh @Eve7 that is a lot to be dealing with, I'm so sorry.

I'm glad they found them before they caused you grave harm. Sending you squishy hugs and lots and lots of love 💖🤗

Re: Morning has broken

Oh no, @Eve7 !! 😮 😞

I'm so glad they found them, but what a shock 😞

How long will the blood thinners take to work, did they say? And are you not allowed to exercise while they do?

I hope you managed to get some sleep!

Sending much 💚 and wishes!

Re: Morning has broken

Thanks @NatureLover I was told I’d have to be on blood thinners for the rest of my life and that was all they said.

I wasn’t told I couldn’t exercise but with the weather we’re having I’m not venturing out. The triathlon was on my bucket list so not doing anymore.

How are you my lovely friend?

💚💚👏💚💚

Re: Morning has broken

Oh wow, blood thinners for the rest of your life @Eve7 !

I hope there's no flooding in your area?

I'm OK thanks, feeling guilty as I said No to someone yesterday, but I can't cope with this person's demands. If I continue to feel guilty then I will talk it through with my psychologist.

Sending lots of 💛 and hugs, just because you're lovely!
