I've just come in after helping a friend with mechanical work on his vehicle. In one way I am pleased to be sitting down. However, today has definitely reminded me that regular physical exercise is now a top priority.

Looking at today's messages, it seems that everyone was busy till about 8 hours ago. Then there was a lot of talk about weather and what everyone likes. Where I live, in Mid-West WA, today it has been like where @Eve7 is, a very pleasant 27 deg C with a fairly gentle breeze – Very pleasant. Some cloud about and drizzle this evening.
"
@Emelia8 , Your weather sounds like one extreme to another. 33 to 14 deg. From one day to the next. I remember living in Wangaratta Vic., many years ago when it snowed for the first time in 54 years. I was doing a paper run on my bicycle and I wondered what was happening. I'd been living with my family in WA prior to that so had never seen snow before. I remember a beautiful scene of a short cul-de-sac with a stream at the end and snow on all the trees. It was really like a Christmas card scene. I'm glad that I remember the scene and not, so much, the frozen fingers, ears and toes and the chilblains.
"
@Former-Member , if you are in the Eastern States, I would think that you came into the forum about 6 hours ago today, maybe about 4.00 pm in the afternoon. I'm trying to sort out my time in WA in relation to daylight saving time on the East coast. I notice your comment about trying to go forward, which is positive. I do understand the feeling of not thinking about the negatives because it is not worth it. I hope that we might have the opportunity to talk about the positives and the negatives – emphasis on the positives. I noticed that you have had some time on your own @Former-Member , which is giving you a bit of a break.
"
@Bow , I like the cold when it means snow skiing. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity for many years. Even if I did get to the snow now, I would have difficulty mastering anything but a toboggan. Sounds as though the weather has been favourable for the birthday cake decorating for your daughter @Bow . Joining with @Former-Member in wishing your daughter a Happy Birthday.
"
I hope that I have the opportunity to visit both Tasmania and New Zealand. Not so much for the cold weather, though if there is a nice fire place or, preferably, an enclosed fire, then I would be happy with that after a day sightseeing. Where I am, it does get down to a couple of degrees above freezing, but it gets very hot in the summer. Usually, I sleep with just a fan on in the summer. That normally keeps it comfortable and also seems to keep mosquitoes away as well.
"
@Eve7 , sounds like there is rain around in a lot of places. Hope that you managed to get the walk in before the rain started.
With Best Wishes to All
@HenryX

Hi @Emelia8
I noticed your support, which I appreciate, and am concerned that you may be up at 1.00 am where I think that you are. My concern is not the time but rather, the reason you may be active now. I hope that it is positive, maybe just wanting a drink, and not pain affecting you.
Cheers,

Hope your time at the beach is therapeutic @BlueBay
It’s raining here today and I’m sitting in my car outside my Psych’s office trying to calm down.
