Ok @Eve7

I'm backing you all the way. I have so much admiration for you. I wish I could do half as much as you do. Get some sleep beautiful and speak kindly to yourself. I think you are your biggest critique. Love you Eve 🙏🤗💞

Thankyou @Anastasia @Emelia8 @Former-Member for your support last night.

Need to drop the care off for a service, call a plumber to fix noisy toilet, so better get into the shower and stop thinking about myself.

Have a good Monday @Snowie @HopefulWarrior @WIP @Bow @Zoe7 @Bunniekins @outlander @Shaz51 @Faith-and Hope

Re: Morning has broken

Dear @Eve7 ... sounds like another busy day for you then. Its unfortunate you had so much on over the weekend ... such a busy life you need ... as it appears you may indeed have overdone it.

Glad you managed to fit church in there though. And the movie Penguin Bloom has had many great reviews, and is one that I would probably like a lot. Although like you said, I expect I would need a big box of tissues .. such movies really turn on the tears for me. Animal movies all do with me .. I blubbered through most of Red Dog. But I agree with you that it can be therapeautic, because I do tend to bottle things up. And such movies act as a release.

You sound like you have been, and in fact still are, quite the athlete yourself. Its good you can still take part in fun runs yourself, but also feed the competitive juices through your coaching duties.

As far as work is concerned ... I'd suggest you stick with it a while longer before making any decisions about quitting. Probably the daily routine of work is a good thing for you and should help with your recovery. I accept that you are incredibly busy with everything you manage to do in your life, but you are getting through it. Do you really think that being so busy is the cause of your sh and depression? I would doubt it somehow. It could actually be the glue that is holding you together for now. So please dont make any rash decsions on that front.

The weather was hot here too over the weekend, but is cooler from today. Likely some rain as well the next couple of days.

I'm doing okay, other than being driven totally insane from the burning, itchiness and soreness from the radiation. It should hopefully start to improve in the next week or two though. Hubby has several specialist appointments coming up this month, including his endocrinologist and his neurologist.

Holly seems to be improving well now, but the vet wants to see her on Friday for a check over, before having the stitches out the following Monday.

Hope your day is okay for you. Sending lots of love to you, my dear brave inspiring friend.

Re: Morning has broken

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness in sending a hug to me.

I spent the day in a meeting in the “room of gloom”....it wasn’t that bad but we did our personality profiles and that always turns me off. I did enjoy the shared lunch though.

Now the recruitment schedule is behind and I’ll have to chase up referees tomorrow so I can write the selection report and get it to the director for sign off ready for induction to start in 2 weeks.

I see you’ve managed a fair bit today @Zoe7 as well as a rest. I hope you sleep well again tonight.

Re: Morning has broken

Dear @Emelia8

Thank you so much for updating and encouraging me this morning Em.

I am sorry about the burning, itchiness and soreness caused by the radiation and I truly hope it passes soon for you. Are you still taking the white chemo pills?

You are right about work providing me with a daily routine. I just don’t want to deal with all the crap that goes on. I really enjoy the work though and I’m looking forward to staff training.

Give Holly a pat from me tonight and thank you for all the support tags.

Lots of love

More hugs incoming @Eve7

It really sounds like you have taken to your job like a fish to water Hon - that makes me really happy for you and I am sure it has not gone unnoticed at work either. Hope you managed to chase up those referees today and have completed what you needed to.

Been a long, tiring day for me but good also. Plenty to keep me going tonight but I need to catch up a bit from the weekend. At least I have my babies keeping me company and wanting lots of cuddles - makes the day just that little bit better 👍😺🐶💕
