Morning has broken

Just want to express my gratitude to those kind enough to offer support.

I just can’t believe that I’ve fractured my wrist!!! I keep telling myself to keep it in perspective and it’s only a wrist, The pain is still there and my back is also giving me grief.

Last night I dosed myself up on whatever I could find and have just awoken and still in pain

For those who asked work manager has been great and will do what it takes to get me back soon.

The person who asked about my “shock treatment” was not

permanent and will not be having their contract renewed!! What they said was a breach of privacy and congifentiality

so not being tolerated.

I will try and stay on the “straight and narrow”.

I am pleased that person was dealt with appropriately @Eve7 Not only was it a breach of confidentiality but showed the moral character of someone that thinks receiving treatment for a MI can be used as a joke. What you have done for yourself is very brave and you deserve kindness and thoughfulness rather than misguided people using it to against you - makes me angry actually but some people just do not 'get it' and are extremely thoughtless.

I am glad you got some sleep Hon - but not good the pain is still there. Another few days until surgery so take each minute as it comes ...you are strong, resilient and courageous and have endured so much - this is a blip on the radar (a pretty massive one) but having the support of your manager is hope that you will be able to once again get back to work when you are healed and welcomed with open arms

I am glad that person will not be having their contract renewed. They should be stood down immediately for comments like that.

I’m just laying under the fan on my bed today and wishing I’d gone to the library to get some books. Looking at the pool through my window is torture today lol.

Not being able to get into the pool but looking at it would be sooooo hard @Eve7 I love the water too but for a while I could not be out in the sun as the meds I was on caused a heat rash. Luckily we stopped those and I can get back outside again. I will be able to take Toby to the beach this Summer and get out into the garden more - looking forward to that 👍

We have 2 weeks left of school so whilst it is not too long it also cannot come quick enough. I do need the break, some time to rest, get a few things done around the house and then begin getting set up for next year. I will also be spending quite a bit of time at my parents' house helping them get things done and no doubt plenty of time with my sister and her new kitten (which she is getting just before Christmas). Tobes will be happy too as he loves one of my parents' dogs - they play and run around the yard together until Tobes gets too tired and lays down lol

Oh @Eve7 I am so sorry you fractured your wrist. I can imagine it would be very sore and Uncomfortable. I haven't caught up on your thread as yet but will do my best to go back and catch up on everything at some stage today.

Thanks @Snowie . I agree and from the response I think they were waiting for a reason not to renew their contract which finished yesterday.

i’m okish Just bored and frustrated. Everything in my safety plan requires 2 hands for self care. I might go to the hairdresser to have my hair washed.

It is super hot and I’m just laying under the fan. I do have aircon but the fan is enough for now.. it’s probably cooler outside under a tree as I’m close to the water and there’s a breeze.

your Tobes sounds amazing and I can just imagine the joy he gives you. My sister has the funniest dog but the poor old thing is blind and now spends most of his days on the leather lounge laying on his back with all 4 legs in the air...such a sight! If anyone sits on the lounge the dog will just stand there until the lounge is free.

2 weeks can be a very long time at the end of the school year. My niece is a teacher and the poor darling is exhausted after this very strange year,
