Surgeon delivered mostly good news, but offset by some quite concerning news.

Psych apt was 2hrs long and was an intense, but helpful session.

Today our baby girl would be 26 years of age yet she didn’t even live for 26 weeks.

On this saddest of days for our family I’ll do the usual and bake her a birthday cake complete with candles but mixed with tears.

This terrible grief is still raw in my soul because time doesn’t heal but at least I know she is with her Daddy today.

If I close my eyes and block my ears I can still see her smile and hear her laugh but how I long to nurse her again. I used to wonder how she’d be fed in Heaven as I was still breastfeeding her when she left us.

Grief is cruel but on this Thanksgiving Day I am grateful that our family was completed when our baby girl was born.
