It will be fish n chips tonight from the local shop @Snowie . Two weeks ago I had a great meal at Whitby in Yorkshire the town that also has a statue of Captain Cook as he was born nearby.

We have a few fish and chip shops nearby but always go to the same one. Are always good.

It's amazing all the places you got to hon. You can see pictures but it's nothing like actually going there in person.

I’m not having any luck posting pictures @Snowie It’s kind of surreal going to places with so much history. The castle in York was built during the time of William the Conqueror almost a thousand years ago!

@Eve7 it would be surreal going to places like that. There is just so much history. Standing in the same place that people were so long ago. Unfortunately, we just don't have that type of history here.

I struggle uploading photos too, especially if I'm on my phone.

I hope your soup turned out well and the family enjoyed it @Snowie just going pick up my fish and chips now.
