Guilt is eating me up mental health trigger
The guilt is really bad at this
moment and it hurts my mental health and I was hoping someone could help me feel a bit more free I feel trapped again

I guess I wouldn't know, I haven't experienced that. I'm so sorry you did. you didn't deserve that, nothing is your fault though @Evie1 . I can imagine that it must be hard for you. I'm here to do my best although I don't know how to help properly, but I'll try

Hey @Evie1 let me just begin with we are with you. Sexual assault is a very traumatic experience to go through and it is always left with the feeling of self guilt and shame.
I know right now you can not get past these feelings but hopefully with the help of your psych they will guide you through a healing process and hopefully you will no longer feel guilt or shame.
Over my life I have been sexually assaulted twice. One of them I have dealt with it in a mental compasity but I do still experience flashbacks every now and then. The other I have moved through it to the other side.
It will take time and persistence but we will be here every step 🙂

You don't need to worry about me at all @Evie1. I've had help from a psych years ago that helped me come to terms with my childhood trauma. I know it wasn't my fault now. I was so young and they should have known better. The other event in my early 30s I have healed myself from the things my psych said with the previous trauma. I have not spoken to a professional about it and don't feel like I need to

But it still hurts me as I fell bad for letting truma happen to me @Blep

No one can predict what will happen to us @Evie1. Trauma is horrible but you can not blame yourself for it happening. The recovery process is different for everyone and the length of time again is different. Hopefully one day your psych will say something that will make something click internally for you.
The way I recovered from mine may not work for you.
I do hope though that you can one day feel closure on the trauma and be able to move past it. Really in a way trauma will always stay with us but we can move through it, grow from it and be at peace with it.

I've had another attack and it's because I'm anxious about going under anaesthetic this week
