Something’s not right

Need someone to talk to, struggling with loneliness, depression, etc.

Need someone to talk to, struggling with loneliness, depression, etc.

Hi everyone. Mods, feel free to move this if it's not in the right thread.

I'd just like someone to talk to, about anything I guess. I feel so alone, not just because of the virus (although that obviously doesn't help), but just in general. My psychiatrist is the only person who has helped me, professional wise, and the only professional I have. I'm thankful for him. Hopefully i can keep seeing him every 2-3 weeks as he agreed to (because he knows I have no other professional support online and in person).

Every other support I've had has been bad and has treated me horribly, especially lately, online and face to face. I won't go into too much detail because that's just triggering for me.

Please, if anyone is around, please say hi. I'd like to talk to someone, someone new or some people I've already engaged with on here. Anyone is fine.

Thanks, I hope someone sees this. The loneliness, depression, etc. is just too much for me to handle and just seems to be getting worse.

I know what it's like to struggle. Not fun but you have positivity that you'll get there and that's amazing, important and true.

My day was ok, doing TAFE online is harder than in class.

Also, I'm juggling my 3 kids at the moment which is challenging.

Thank you @Purplerain .

Good luck with TAFE & your kids, must be hard, I wouldn't know since I'm only 20 and don't have kids, just my parents & I

I just had a read @Former-Member
im sorry you were treated that way and it was very unprofessional, I hope that something was done about that.
I hope the new social worker will be much better for you. that would be a good start to getting some more supports for yourself again

Ah ok. Thank you. Be good once these restrictions are lifted.

I can’t say I’ve given matchbox 20 enough time. I respect ROb Thomas tho he’s a great songwriter. If you like The Offspring I would recommend Bad Religion!

Thank you, I'll definitely be complaining. Just waiting to tell my Psychiatrist sometime next week and take it from there. @outlander even my psychiatrist didn't seem to like him (just his tone of voice, before I saw the MH nurse, they spoke on the phone) and the way he looked at me through the video chat seemed like he thought something was suspiscious, and that was based off 1 phone call.

@Purplerain you're welcome

health professonals although they arent meant to judge and remain on the fence they are often a good judge of character when it comes to support @Former-Member

i hope the new one is much better for you

That's true and I agree with you, I know that my Psychiatrist won't be happy though. He told me that he told this MH nurse that I've had bad experiences and lack of support (apart from him). Thanks, I hope the social worker is ok too. If she's not then I give up completely. No point seeing my GP, she just says see my Psychiatrist and won't prescribe me anything @outlander

im glad that your psychiatrist has spoken with the support worker and has informed them on your previous treatment. there is no reason that anyone should've been treated the way you were.

do you think its worth seeking out a new gp as well? one that's more suited to you?

Sorry I just saw your reply now. @outlander

The GP is nice, and I'll be 21 this year and she only sees patients under 21. So I'll have to change anyway. Luckily a few GPs there, male and female, specialise in mental health, so it says on their profile anyway. I have 2 male GPs in mind. Everyone is nice there even patients, everyone says hello while you're waiting. I miss going into the clinic, they're only doing phone calls or Skype calls, and when I spoke to her on the phone she had me on speaker and I couldn't hear her well so I didn't like that. The clinic has a nice relaxing atmosphere for me - nice floral paintings on the wall, neat and tidy, and a nice big vase of indoor flowers. It seems relaxing.

But yes I'll look into seeing another one. Problem is I'll have to get my file transferred and tell my psychiatrist but that shouldn't be too hard, I told him I'll have to change when I turn 21
