A TIME FOR EVERYTHING There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the sun. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time for decay and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones, a time to gather, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. - ECC -

Re: QUOTES THAT SETTLE MY MIND
Namaste - a gesture "I bow to you" Nama means bow, as means I, and te means you. Therefore, namaste literally means “bow me you” or “I bow to you.” To perform Namaste, we place the hands together at the heart charka, close the eyes, and bow.
Namaste is a gesture of respect, acknowledging the divine soul of one to another.
It represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the divine soul in one by the soul in another.

I like that there is a similar concept in Christianity ... seeing the Christ or divine in others ...

Re: QUOTES THAT SETTLE MY MIND
When it comes to our interactions with other people it is not what is right or wrong that's important - rather - what is right or wrong for ourselves

Re: QUOTES THAT SETTLE MY MIND
Thanks for explaining "namaste" @Former-Member
I had the feeling it was a comment of respect - not sure what language - or what it meant until now
But yes - it does acknowledge the divine spark within us all
After all
The eyes are the windows of the soul - and if they are clouded - how it must be within
And covering the eyes as one bows enlightens the soul from within - for people who have looked at the light and the shadows
