Re: Chronic kidney disease & mental health

Yes @Dimity

So glad we are not working, finally got over the flu

Yesterday was a big day but was good learning about different dialysis machines and hoping I don't need it for a while yet

Had to park a long way from the hospital so I got my exercise done

Shopping was good

Had chicken and salad for lunch

And brought 2 premade cooked Chinese meals to take home for dinner

Re: Chronic kidney disease & mental health

Well, good news about the kidney I guess @Shaz51

Here's hoping everything else starts cooperating!

(Bloody doctors - you go in for one thing, they find ten more!)

Hey @Shaz51 ,

I'm glad things are relatively stable.

Does the doc have any suggestions to make in terms of managing your osteo-conditions? Do injections help?

I'm no doc so I'd have no idea. I just remember that I got an injection in my foot because of my arthritis.

@Shaz51 Gee my friend, I have no advice for you.

My daughter looked at my swollen finger joints today and asked “Is there nothing you can do for it?”

I said “No. It’s my immune system attacking my finger joints. That’s why I sauna.”

”Welcome to old age.”

Re: Chronic kidney disease & mental health

Oh @Shaz51 , shazy my friend, I'm so sorry to hear about your liver.

Can the specialist recommend anything else for pain management? I hear glucosamine can be good for osteoarthritis. My mum has osteoarthritis and it has helped her. She also has osteoporosis and has to have an injection every 6 months.

What about a herbal medicine?

Hoping you can get some answers my lovely friend. Thinking of you ❤️

Natural ginger and turmeric tabs help with inflammation @Shaz51 . Such good news about your kidneys.

Hey @Shaz51, thanks for the tag here 🙏💜

To start sorry
that dialysis has to be an option for you, definitely thinking of you during this time and again big hugs to you.

I am wondering how you are feeling about this whole process now?

When are they likely wanting to form your fistula and do the operation near your stomach?
I am so glad home dialysis is an option for you so you’ll be able to do your treatments at home? Do you have to be accepted for home dialysis or is it approved already?

You’re a strong lady Shaz nothing can bring you down, you are definitely very resilient especially with all you have gone through.

Thanks for sharing your story of dialysis with me I feel privileged to hear your story, so thank-you 💜

You’re a strong lady Shaz nothing can bring you down, you are definitely very resilient especially with all you have gone through. -- thank you @Chasingsunsets and you and all members here on the forum are amazing
