It rained here today and I am rugged up as it's cold.

I haven't responded to you properly re this...

"I have a real battle on my hands - haha, literally! My Excoriation Disorder is bad and my hands and lower arms have lots of raw sores that I've scratched...I'm trying to get them to heal up, but it's hard as scratching is helping me to get through. I want them to heal up for some social events coming up including my brother's visit, plus it's embarrassing at work too. I cover the sores with a band-aid or with cover-up makeup at work. I just wanted to share that battle with you. It's not for you to worry about though! It's supposedly under my control, although it's an addiction so very hard to control."

I'm sorry to hear. I scratch whilst sleeping and quite often have signs of it when I wake. I am sending wishes to the Universe that this "takes a hike". I have no doubt that your inner beautiful soul shines brighter than what you've described but I also understand why you would feel self conscious.

I wanted to let you know my surgery went ok yesterday too because I don't want you worrying.

You are so very precious to me. I used to scratch my arms at night too and I’d go to bed with ice bricks on my arms and a wheat pack on my sore knee!! Just as well I sleep alone!

I had been thinking that your mole surgery was due...thanks for telling me it went OK. I assume they've sent a biopsy off? Am still sending wishes that it's benign...

How is your boy's safety? And your anxiety?

Thanks for your kind words. My day at work was great, am so fortunate. Also feeling brighter this morning with the sunshine - which is a good sign.

Thanks for telling me about your scratching while sleeping. And it doesn't wake you? Wow. I do it while half asleep and while my willpower is not awake yet...but not while sleeping. I've scratched all my life, since a tiny baby, so it probably won't take a hike entirely...it's a response to childhood emotional abuse that has now become an addiction. I use it to help me get through. But wishes that I can stop scratching just on my hands and face would be awesome, thank you....just if you remember.

I've updated to Windows 11 on my PC and it's not letting me go to the different coloured hearts and icons like coffee cups - must google how to do it on the new Windows.

Hoping your anxiety is letting you sleep... Today is Friday so am wishing for some emotional and mental and physical strength for you to get through the last day of the working week...also your boy's safety always. Sending much

I never wake, it's funny I'm always surprised to see the results, sometimes I am embarrassed because of what people might think so dress accordingly if the need be.

I did some gardening a few days ago and ended up with splinters so my arm is bandaged in many places, I look a mess at the moment.

I am a little bit sleep deprived from having had the surgery. I sleep on my tummy but I can't at the moment, very tender, so I am looking forward to a good night sleep in the coming days 🤞

My boy is potentially back to hospital 😔

It goes against my entire being.

I will keep you in the loop. I'm really hoping a miracle happens that makes him decide it is not a good decision all round 🙏

The "friends" are becoming a bigger part of his life, something I am struggling with. My chat with the SANE counsellor helped.

I can't change it or "fix" it. They will be here tomorrow night. I really will be digging deep for that!

Life is tricky isn't it? So difficult when what's white to me is black to my boy.
