I’ve had the first jab @NatureLover and just had a bit of a headache afterwards for a couple of hours. I had it during work hours and returned to work after it. I also have asthma so be sure to take your preventers before going and have your reliever with you.

An hour’s drive is a long way so maybe some pleasant music will help.

My 92 year old mother had no side effects but I’ve never known her to be sick with anything ever.

I’ve heard of lots of different reactions but nothing serious so the odds are in your favour. I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow and will be ready to share a cuppa with you when you get home because I’m so proud of you facing these challenges!

Yes the one administering tomorrow should be able to discuss asthma comps if any. Taking your puffer is great advice from @Eve7

Not the best ater today but just have to absorb it all and keep going. Then make a final decision in a few weeks re treatment options.

My boy has one shortly, that will put everything to do with me back into perspective because his is going to be :pile_of_poo:. Gotta keep it together.

I have heard a bit about people having CKD and diabetes with the needle , soo hoping i will be ok whan the time comes

Hey @NatureLover looks like you've got a lot of wonderful support here. I haven't had the vaccine, I'm pretty isolated here so probably won't be an issue for me. I think you're in good company re the fear side of things, I'm sure most people feel this way about it given so many stories circulating around covid right now.

When the anxiety kicks up it might be helpful to remind yourself of the reasons why you're getting the vaccine, bit of a reminder of the benefits might help. I wonder if there is a hotline in place for people to call with questions? I haven't looked into this at all. Just don't go down the google rabbit hole with it all--too many nut jobs out there
