Numb again

Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

Re: Numb again

@Lee82 thanks for the suggestion but I've already written everything down. I guess thats giving me anxiety too. I'll probably feel so sick before I see him tomorrow morning. I'll keep you all updated.

@Pollyotter I'm sorry you feel this way. I hate everything about myself inside and out too so I understand

I think i am picking up a panick attack????

Heart beat is fast and my cheast feels tight and my fears are acting up... Am i going backwards again?( i hope i didnt post something bad)

At least it's early and you don't have to spend all day thinking about it. @Former-Member

Re: Numb again

@Lee82 thanks and thats true. I can just feel myself breaking down crying in front of him, I can picture it. Every other time I've seen him I haven't but this time its a bit different because of the rude nurse. I'm sure he'll be disgusted in the nurse when I tell him I've been feeling more depressed, angry, feeling my side effects to meds more (probably stress too) and more you know, since I saw the nurse on the 27th April.

Then I see my Psychiatrist again on the 27th of May so 2 weeks after tomorrow (he said he can see me every 2-3 weeks). I hope I can still keep that one and see him every 2-3 weeks

Re: Numb again

Wow that's fantastic news @Pollyotter would definitely love to see some pics for your little cozy corner!
Maybe all the excitement of moving and getting things organised is making you a little anxious babe but it's good anxiety. Excitement maybe.
try and calm your breathing and focus on something else other than the thoughts in your head. How was work in the office today?

Re: Numb again

@Pollyotter you ok? I have PTSD too so I understand and I also hate everything about myself inside and out, so I relate to all of that. I'm sorry you feel this way.

Thats awesome about the new place.

I had some breakdowns and panic attacks today, wasn't a good day. Felt like you did about the chest hurting and whatnot, especially when I was on my long walk with my Dog. I also saw some distressing things on my walk. @Lee82

Re: Numb again

If you cry hun that's ok. Better out than in. They are real raw emotions and it's ok for him to see it. He then will see just how much it is affecting you.

Re: Numb again

I'm so sorry you had to experience those things babe. They are not fun at all. I know them all too well. Definitely doesn't help when you see something distressing.
