Well done @Princessmolly for being pro active with your health. I'm just hoping to get into a routine of walking the dogs.

What different services does your gym offer? I've heard classes (like zumba, indoor cycling, etc.) are great for keeping up motivation.

Dr. Berger's American Board Certification in Psychiatry can be verified through the web site of the American Board of Medical Specialties (You first have to register to use this service, then enter name as Douglas Berger in the search), Doug berger Psychiatrist tokyo. You can also click here to see a cached version of Dr. Berger's Board Certification search results.

Diet and exercise. Too depressed for eithet

Appetite is often a symptom of depression as well. Sometimes it's not the medication. Saying that you're right anti-Ds also cause weight gain.

I dunno it's hard to figure out the causation on these things. Sorry I can't really help.

Yes medication and weight gain is an issue for me also. especially since ive just found a new interest in cooking!

Motivation to excercise is also an issue for me, though i do try and push hard to get to the gym every 2nd day. i try drinking water as often as possible and try eating as much veg and fruit, though i understand this isnt easy also.

keep fighting

Re: Maintaining a gealthy weight

Have the same problem here @Princessmolly, moving is my problem. The meds slow the metabolism so things to boost metabolism helps. I've been filling up on my thick home made vegie soup with meat. A bit of protein every time you eat helps (not too much dairy)I'm getting good nutrients, I don't crave or bnge so much. Drink water every hour. I lost 10kg doing this, and 'intermittent fasting'' but. Still got 30kg to go. Really lazy this winter. Avoid added salt & sugar. Get into spices like tumerick. Chilli tuna is good. But i think moving is critical.
Also, There are antidepressants less likely to cause weight-gain - ask your pharmacist, google it and renegotiate with your doctor. Good luck 🏃
