Let's relive the 1980's

Let's relive the 1980's

Hiya everyone!!!!

I loved the 80's and I thought I would start a forum where we can relive our favourite songs. bands, TV shows, movies, fashions, celebrities, world events etc. If I had a time machine I would go back and experience it all, because as they say at the time you don't realise how special it is until it is over.

So if you grew up in the 80's tell us your experiences, what you loved and remembered etc. If you missed the 80's that is fine. we can tell you what it was like, how things were done etc. So please come and join me and reflect on this great decade......

I am going to start off by showing you one of my fav songs from one of my two fav bands (The Beatles being the other one). Still love this song as much as when I first heard it..... written by drummer Roger Taylor inspired by words from his young son.....Radio Ga Ga

Which indecently inspired the name of a current pop star...................

Re: Let's relive the 1980's

Morning @TAB Yes Ferris Buellar's day off was def 80's. I reckon that movie was the second most talked about movie of its time.....it was huge.

Two years ago in holidaying in America I bought a 'Save Ferris' t-shirt and whenever I wore it people would go past me and say 'Save Ferris'...lol!!!!! Love it!!!!!!

Ugh 12 hour shifts........not fun at all......no wonder you are having today off!!!!!

So how did your interview go the other day?????? I am sort of gathering that it went well if your shifts are from your new job......or I could be completely wrong......

That movie with brothers Emilio Estevez and Charlier Sheen was called Men At Work......very funny movie.

Yes Lost Boys was 80's with the famous two Corey's.....Haim and Feldman....another great movie all about vampires........also starred Kiefer Sutherland (son of Donald). I loved him too!!!!

Re: Let's relive the 1980's

LOL @TAB I remember this "anyone who gives someone the sack for not coming to work today is a bum" - Bob Hawke the day we won the America's Cup. Strange but I never hear about it these days. I grew up sailing, dad was commodore of the sailing club, so we followed the big races closely.
