Families!! _ they say that blood is thicker than water - but it's stickier too - I have not had support from my own family of origin and my ex's mother resented me from word Go - I married her beloved son - a mummy's boy of course - and he had been giving her his wages since his father died -

Oh gosh - there are things I will not say - they are in the past and rankle me not - there a a few people in the family who are helpful - but I rarely see them - I used Face Book with some of my cousins

My my sister is toxic - it all comes from her side - I am not of that frame of mind - but in spite of her I have had a pretty great life - my uncle was supportive - but he is pretty frail now - late 80's -

But we can make our own family - when I was a support member in the pain-site forums I found I had a family - an on-line family - one where people were mostly supportive - and things changed there when the manager started using MMJ - and I started looking for a new website - and before I left the pain site I had established a new family here -

And this is even better - perhaps being in a website in Australia is better because we do understand each other -

Also - being where I can talk about my heart ache as been even better - I guess it gets pretty boring talking about chronic pain all the time - but hearing people's emotional journeys is incredible - it took me a while to open up but having done so - yes!! _ I do have an on-line family again - and this one really gets my having PTSD, Reactive Depression, Being Emotionally Fragile and a bereaved mother

I should redefine "families" - what is a family - I guess it's a place really - where we can go and be ourselves and let it out and have people care - we can seek ourselves inside an environment where people are either kind - or if they don't get it - can be ignored

One thing I can say is this - I have said it somewhere else - but not here I think

If you want to know what you are like - look at your friends - without anyone saying a word - they will tell you who you are and what you are like

ha @Former-Member, yeah he's good, so is robert duval, and deniro when young al pacino did some amazing early films, no, not the famous ones lol.. even Toni Basil was in Easy rider.. did you ever hear of that song Oh Mickey in the 80s lol

wasn't a huge fan of Peter Fonda, but try Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, just a hoot lol, it's a real time warp haha
