I went back to bed, just can't be bothered doing anything. Maybe depressed lol No, just got a parcel from my mum, a birthday gift I won't open 'till Monday. She ignored my last 2 birthdays (along with my sister - really hurt) but maybe my last visit gave her more peace in working out 'I'm not the enemy' Just realised how hard it really has been with a parent with MI, hope mine hasn't been as destructive on my kids, don't think so. Anyway, I did open the card which is quite lively (not a cheapie) which I'll post shortly. You must miss your mum, especially anniversaries, I remember our conversations about her and how you really connected with me about grief - thanks for that (who would have thought more healing would come from connecting on a forum than x4 yrs of therapy? but it has).
Can't seem to get going here, maybe take a walk first, Arr! did I just swear lol

Hahaha @Former-Member .... was "w@lk" the swear word ? That's where I am at .... "swearing" around the river .... lol .... hoping to see dolphins ..... haven't seen them for ages but another "swearer" told me they had been up by the other bridge all week at about the same time.
The cyber painting means it has been done in an ap on my iPad, so it only exists in cyberspace unless it's printed. I will call it Purple Splash ..... and I tagged you to it when I posted it .... probably a page or so back now on Anyone Feel Like Chatting ? Coffee/Tea ?

Birthday Card from my mum and dad today today, isn't it beautiful. Dad can't write anymore or remember birthdays so really must keep this card as I think it may be my last from them. Sometime life can be so sad, and saps energy away. Everything has a 'good and bad side' (beautiful card from my mum but she has this terminal cancer, and the word 'daughter' - where's my daughter? Its not fair!!!). Messes with the head actually. Crapola, now I need to go have a cry - maybe just an 'anniversary' thing I guess. @Dec, does your dd remember your birthdays? boys tend not to, or fuss I'm reminded, so... just... oh, nutz, gotta go...

Yes - my daughter remembers my birthday along with a whole bunch of birthdays - she has a large family
I think that forgetting dates is a guy-thing - I remember when my ex-h got a new job he had to ring me up to ask the kids' birthdays.
But happy birthday from us etc - we do with you the best

That's a beautiful cake @Owlunar, thank you, funny how we're still 'little kids' on the inside at these times (well I am but a psych once told me I have severely stunted emotional growth from trauma so...). Guess bits of me will always be a kido. Do you miss being comfort (affection)?<br><br> I just returned some library books + walked, yes WALKED 😱 and it didn't k#ll me haha. Even had a good chat with someone and, oh, here comes the naughty bit - went in the op shop, spent $20, good buys, wanna know what I got? Kind of gives me a buzz, but this house, its all too much really. Stuff it, gonna enjoy the moment lol<br><br>My son just text ? come visit by bus re rain - so might look into that. Isn't it nice he thought of me? Even offered to pick me up :). Think dog will survive one night on his own. <br><br>Anyway, thanks again for cake, I'm still teary but the walk and you cake helped and a little spend. 🙂
