Re: Sleeping too much
Re D1, there are difference in how the two of them have been raised, and their outlook on life, and the contrasts in ideas hasn't emerged until now that there is a wedding to organise, and a home, and it's challenging their values .....
It's something the two of them need to work out between themselves, but they are conflicting in terms of ability to communicate and find agreement, without losing their own sense of identity. It's common to most weddings probably, but it's stressful.
And because WH's illness is unclear, his behaviours have been misconstrued as offensive.
Hopefully last nights talk has provided so e
clarity, but it hasn't yet resolved their ability to communicate and work through the decisions with a joint focus .....
Still a stressful work in progress .....

Re: Sleeping too much
Psychologist was OK, she let me talk,
Acknowledged my distress over my family "feeling cast out of the group" - saying its primal, we're hard wired to not leave the group or we won't survive. Left for dead... I always thought it was a rejection thing, so that was a different take in it. I was pretty teary for some reason, talking about the x vindictiveness, D1 talking less (since AD increase), can't collapse D1 bed, MH admission (2011 caged animal), declutter, lonely, angry, my mum, vivid dreams, nightmares,... Hmm, we did cover a lot of ground - at least I didn't walk away stressed. But she did say she'd like to give me skills to replace medication (haven't heard that before & quite like being less social phibic). Oh, she also reassured me she's had no reason to think of me as 'delusional' at all in the 4yrs she's known me. 🙂 (my mother & sister have called me delusional).
Actually rang S1 earlier today, it went well (phew) & he's OK. Has a show holiday in Brizzy today so he was quite relaxed. Told me to stop worrying, to stop being a mum 😕
Mum sent a polite tx last night, so the ice is broke there thank goodness.
Its so hard to find that balance of guarding one's own heart while also trying to show compassion toward others.
But think I've definitely worried too much. Get irrational guilts, so learning to let go.
@Faith_and_hope: thanks for summing up my list of positives, Blackdog is pulling at me at the moment, heavy, (like the forums front page pic), so its helpful to be reminded ta of the good stuff, ta.

Hey @Former-Member 😏
It sounds like it did you good to talk .... and to have the positive contrast to what happens when you start believing or accepting other people's uncaring or harsh judgements ..... here was the psych telling you that the comments were unfounded.
My mum used to say, "don't wear it ...." It took me many years to put that comment into the perspective of, don't put somebody else's bad ideas onto (into) your character, the same way you wouldn't put on a piece of clothing you really, really didn't like, no matter who gave it to you. Why do we then "put on" other people's opinion of us ?
There can be a lot of reasons, and often it started to happen when we were very young. Psychologists are very good at helping us to revisit all these opinions we have owned and worn, and getting us to question their worth to us from a more mature adult perspective.
Imagine taking these opinions that don't suit us, as though they were clothing, folding them up, putting them into a bag, and giving them back to the people who presumed to put them on us, saying "thanks, but no thanks !"
Glad you had a really-real chat with your S1 and got to hear his voice in your ear .... 😊💜
Glad you got an ok-ish text from your mum ..... 😏💜
Very glad you're learning to let go ..... 😀❤️💕
