Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member 👋💜

Might take you a little while to recover from your busy trip away, but you will. 😊
You've been through so much and you'll need lots of rest.
It's been emotionally and physically draining.

Coffee for you ☕🍰

I woke feeling really crappy, not real chatty lately, but can still say "hi". 😀🌷🌹🌼🌻🌸🌺

Re: Sleeping too much

Hiya there @Former-Member, appreciate it, you. Chin up forum friend. Was just thinking how tired the heat is making eberyone. I've concluded Summer&Winter are the worst seasons. Let's hang out for Autum & Spring 🙂

Re: Sleeping too much

It's trying to rain here today @Former-Member Sunny, rainy. Hopefully it will be enough to fill the dam. Yes, the humidity has been really bad. I don't cope very well with the heat. Would love to live in a colder place, but not so easy selling and moving, wish it was.

I'm not getting much done today. Oh well.

I better go and look on internet re some sort of support. There is something that looks interesting, but need to read more about it. Went to a complex PTSD support group the other day, for the first time. It's only on once a month, need someone in between to talk to who understands (at least a little bit).

The world is so busy, it can get very lonely struggling with the things we struggle with. Good that we have each other to chat to. xoxo

Re: Sleeping too much

Sure thing @Former-Member, the forums have made so much difference in my life. Even this last 2 days back home - so empty, and sad, nightmares. Life's hard on the outside let alone all the 'stuff' going on on the inside - living in our own skin.
I haven't heard about a PTSD support group before, you'll have to tell me more about that.
I've not done anything much today either. Only just now had first cuppa and food - bit of tuna on toast with my necessary pills. Not hungry, have soft tissue discomfort between waste & knees, like ladies cramps, weird. Brobably the lower back and circulation after all that driving. And helped settle my Bro4 who rang wondering if to call ambo for mum, so difficult down there. He said nobody's done dishes or taken the overflowing bin out since I left. Part of me strongly feels I should be there, of use somewhere in the world, this is hard call. Like you - selling up & moving on is not easy at all. Maybe if mum cleared a room for me and respected my privacy, but she can't. Maybe a caravan out front. All in the think tank.
Anyway, do keep chatting. Both of us can get sensitive here on the forums (I have to live down opening up about bit last night) but we can pick up and move on like today. Appreciate that.
I am fighting 'giving up' thoughts, trying not to sink too low. Made tx contact with my boss here (re dress shop, she gives me couple shifts) who I hope has held my hours open for me. Tempting to not try, let them give up on me but it has its benefits, forcing myself out, doing.
Did I tell you the sad thing that hit me when I got home
- my front memorial rock garden half died off & lost several pot plants (my VC friend said shed water so I don't know what happened there, disappointing)
- the letterbox was overflowing with junkmail mixed among other mail. Nothing personal:
- electricity co reminder, and the followup threat to disconnect re bill
- NSW state revenue fine for $325 for accidentally entering transit lane while in Sydney 😞
- Bank overdraft notice
Why is so much in this world about money? Its not something were born with but man created.
Well, needless to say its upsetting and created a field day for blackdog dialogue in my head. 'Nobody loves me stuff, ' may as well check out' And well that's what I'm burning all my energy resisting. Just laying around, sleeping too much. Hoping it will passAmyway, thanks for listening.
Its nice to have someone here who lives in SE Qld too, similar weather. xox

Re: Sleeping too much

Sometimes I need to "get away" from my thoughts. 😀 @Former-Member

I know it can be very depressing when our body/mind is exhausted. You've been through ALOT with driving to Sydney, caring for parents etc etc etc...........
You've done more than you realize, I think.

Try to remember that this will pass.
Once you've rested a bit more, you'll find that you can "pick up" again and live.
Your son needs you.

I found out about the Complex PTSD support group on internet. I don't know why I didn't think about it before. To talk to someone who has the same struggles was amazing. Makes you think, how the heck have we kept on going. Hearing someone else say what they go through made me really think, wow! We survived. Surviving isn't enough, I want to live. You do too TAWNEY. And you will. Hang in there. xo 👍💕

I know it's hard hearing about your parents. I have the same with my mother. It's hard not feeling guilty about not helping out.

This will pass. 😊

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

I got up early this morning to see how you were but it took a lot of fiddling around to find my computer wasn't just being cranky but had lost contacts - include Sane Forums - and it took quite a will to set up my accounts again - and to get back in here - to open a different account

Them's the joys

The weather is horrible here today too - hot and windy - I am okay if I sit still and use the computer or watch something on TV but the heat knocks me out

I am glad you posted but you sound as is it is tough being back at home - and your brother - can he not wash a few dishes - I wish I could understand that? It bothers me

I guess you have to do what you have to do - it's hard for you either way - you know your family and what it can be like there - having a place not far away that you can retreat to without letting your brothers know where you are could be an idea -

And all those problems with money - alas - that's what it is about just about all the time - money

Thinking of you Tawney - I have been all day but spent it fiddling with the computer which I don't consider worthwhile use of time - but here we are

Hugs - Dec

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi Guys, been a bit disorientated but human contact yesterday. VC friend came, at first I felt overwhelmed as she quickly downloaded all her happenings this last couple weeks (must be getting old cause I have trouble keeping up, remembering bits), just prefer to sit quietly with a friend and coffee and forget all that drama, look at the birds, but guess that's a pipe dream (unless I ever sit on the veranda with @TAB and his iceblocks lol, that might be peaceful)
Anyway, I got a few words in and twas nice having someone here.

I bit the bullet and contacted my boss re local dress shop, she wants me to pop in for chat today so hope that goes well after I took time off. Bit anxious fearful of a rejection (getting the flick) which would trigger the PTSD so please light a prayer candle for me guys. Safer to just forget it and hide at home but not good for long term MH I fuss grr a new friend there has a cancer scare atm so hope that hasn't gone bad.

Betta head off, thanks for checking in @utopia, @Shaz51, @F&H, @Decadian, @Former-Member and everyone xox

Re: Sleeping too much

Well you did the 'adult' thing re job @Former-Member ..been there re running away/avoiding contact cos worried about what may happen.

and re friend ..sometimes something is better than nothing, just have to put self first if its too unbearable..

was just thinking of idiot guy I used to hang around til a couple years ago.

sometimes it was okay. A lot of the time it was toxic and one sided. I was the only one who would put up with him a lot of the time. Wasnt sorry to see him go

Well, met him thru work, and there were somethings in common, but he had serious issues which he only touched on later after denying the b obvious for years

Better off with a Cat sometimes lol

sure you'll be okay re appointment.

And I thought the iceblock was a park thing

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member. Well done. Going to see your boss may be hard - anxiety causing - but you are choosing to face it.
Good luck. I'm sure it will go well.
