Re: Sleeping too much
Hello @PeppiPatty @Former-Member @Decadian @Former-Member @TAB
Writing a book, I hope you are very proud of yourself.
Have often thought over the years, would love to be able to write a story, wish I knew how, now am hearing of others who are doing the very same. Someone in my family is on her first book.
I think that you do not need someone else's approval of your book. You are the author and are writing in your own style. Are you hoping to publish the book? or are you writing because it is a dream? You might find some information on the internet on what the steps are etc.
Love reading about the connection you and your husband have. He is very tuned in to your feeling, which speaks realms about you PeppiPatty.
keep on writing and enjoying xxxx

Hello @Former-Member @Decadian @PeppiPatty @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 and any others
You are a tower of strength, a powerful woman, inspiration and your family are blessed to have you.
Driving all the way to Sydney!! I think my breathing has changed just reading those words!
As others have said, well done, thinking of you and importantly gently reminding you to remember you in the whole equation. So please dont push too hard, you have achieved so much already. xxxx

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member
I don't think it's a case that @PeppiPatty needs approval for her writing but rather it is necessary to have other people with a background in literature to read our work to check for anomalies, mistakes and other irregularities - and for feedback
I hope Pp is proud of her work too because from what I have gathered it is set in an historical background and that would be hard
Being published isn't easy - and we have to write to suit our public -
But you are right Pp should be proud of her work - it has taken a lot of research and I would love to read it - but yes - there would be privacy issues - I hope I find the real book sometime in the future

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Decadian @Former-Member @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Former-Member
@Decadian both my Psychotherapist and husband have told me not to engage with her too much.
I did'nt see it but fortunately I have Psychotherapist emailing and husband meeting her.....
I think at 15, I was in an acute stage.......I worked extremely hard to get better. I smoked some green and went quite Psychotic and still do if I do that type of thing......
My home life was terrible. But thats left behind, we need to look ahead at what we are grateful for......
@Former-Member & @Former-Member I think of this about you both......@Bella2 .I remember when you first joined...what was your name before?
I think it took me years to get my head around my oldest son's times of mental ill Health and OTHER unmet needs @Former-Member. I'm going to sound like @Appleblossom but please be gentle with yourself.
My nice thing is not worrying too much about the tidyness of the home but using nice soap in the shower.
Trying to stick to a routine:
For me artwork today......gotta nap first .....

Re: Sleeping too much
And Ma doesnt like me on the phone (tx'ing etc) so can't stay long, she tells me off: "stop playing with yaself!" she blurted out today when i use the phone near her, its comical really, as since she's discovered texting herself - its a case of 'the pot calling the kettle black' lol.
Mum & Dad strongly suggest I stay 'till Tues at least - even gave me $150 toward petrol and "for helping out" dad said, which i graciously accepted of cause as struggling. BUT, still not pushing myself so hard since being yelled at Thursday. Still doing daily cooking, transport, bit of cleaning, shopping... [hope that's enough]. Tonight i cooked them steak, veg & potatoes in jackets. Yesterday it was Butter Chicken & Rice. Don't get many thanks (too much, too late, too tough but they did like the butter chicken a lot. Gotta remember SELF COMPASSION, rewarding myself & not waiting for it from others. Finally, in my 50's. Only just realising how bad it is - mum has severe anxiety, and has trouble sitting still, she reads into things too much (o ts of wrong and negative assumptions) as the MI snowballs. And control issues - after being with them at the doctors I went for drive & spent a couple of hours at an OpShop sale at the biggest shop I've ever been in. When I got home 3hrs later, wanting to share my wins, but was greeted with an abrupt "where have you been!!?" I checked my phone & missed calls because apparently my uncle visited & mum wanted me to see him. She accused me of visiting Bro2, who she's cross with, and 'bitching' about her. Didn't want to believe I'd actually been at the Salvos all that time. Gets my back up when people accuse me of lying, bruised ego I guess.
Late last night I caught up on 2days dishes and cleaned/tidied their very non functional drawer. Its so nice today to open the drawer now & actually SEE what you need - mum was standing beside me last I opened it so I asked with a smile "hey, do ya like the nice tidy cutlery drawer now?" She replied with a bitter tone "yeah, I'm gonna put it back the way I want it!" [honestly, it was impossible to work out any existing system before]. This is my mum.
Makes me sad, but guess that's what disease does to people in denial. Like intollerence - I've started snapping (mum is diiiiifficult), so I'm trying to spend more time on my own now, go for drives etc (glad to have the car this time. Must dig out my mindfulness CD but luckily I've practised enough for some of the exercises to come natural. Visited both my brothers with MI (both recently been in MH Hospital & put back on CTO antipsychotic injections), that was sad - a story for another time.
Need to sleep, hope I haven't complained too much, and I promise I'll work on catching up on your news, your posts, just so tired. Night xox
