Re: Sleeping too much

Prob means uneven wear? Might be time for new tyres then. Try gumtree for secondhand ones maybe if cost an issue. Don't stress😀 Am off to bed. Turns out have to put in an appearance at work tomorrow, waiting on person who's driving back as much as anything. Hate changing stories oh well. Hope they're not expecting too much. Could have left me at camp. Never worked with these guys before, was hired to them. Appearances for site boss methinks gonna try get something outa me for their stuff up lol. God am a grump. Just wish this was all done with. Working with 20yo laborers woo hoo

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

I took three pics of the clouds that came with the storm - this is one of them but the others are harder to transfer from my phone to my computer. I have heard about the asthma attacks on the news but I haven't had any trouble myself -

One of the photos I have though shows clouds of an unusual pattern and colour - but what that could be I have no idea - maybe a heavy load of pollens because of the hot weather after so much rain - who can tell

My pain at ten is -

Sound becomes distorted

Visual disturbances and I have fainted

I sweat - actually I start sweating at around 8

I'll work on the photo of the strange cloud in my phone and see if I can adjust the size and see if I can transfer it

I am so sorry about your daughter - it must all come back when strange allergies causing asthma appear

PAGE 555 what does it mean??? lol

Hi @Decadian, those clouds sure look ominous, glad you're ok yourself though. Yes, such news broadcasts do bring it all back 😞 But the flashbacks and nightmares are less since my TV reception aireal broke - no visual input I guess. I still wish everything was different, my precious girl. Have you heard if any of these mass acute asthma attacks actually died?

Your pain sure sounds shocking. I have a new pain complaint this last 24hrs, insignificant in comparison. This thumb I use to type here on the mobile - it has niggling pain in the knuckle. Haha, Entirely unacceptable given the importance of its use lol. Oh well, pesky arthritis is just one of those systemic things.

What are your plans today?

I woke up with a bit of 'joy' mysteriously. Hope I'm not going into a manic phase as yesterday I was talking fast and felt excited. Bit if adrenolin maybe. Mixed up. Best not see it as 'bad' just enjoy it. Absolutely beautiful, sunny, crisp morning here today.

Time for a cuppa - you want one?

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

I just finished a black coffee - ran out of milk - so I am up for a white coffee right now - thanks - I am sure that will be better

I have not heard of anyone dying with the asthma storm - but I know this is a major trigger - they will come - I understand.

I have had one this week myself - some boys in the Juvenile Justice Centre where my son died got into a group and started trashing the place, I got upset - I always get upset when kids play up in there. I was part of the solution when it came to getting rid of the old buildings and setting up a much better facility. Also I did go over there many years ago and saw the new complex - I was given a guided tour of most of it - and I have no idea if it is still as great -

But I have to toughen up about it - these kids have no idea how bad it was there - and I think - what can I do about this now? Honestly I think I have to let that go - getting into it would be stretching the scar too much. Just as you can't handle a storm that might cause asthma or does cause asthma - I can't handle youth playing up in such a destructive manner

It's okay to feel your pain is insignificant but I know about having arthritis in your hands. I think I can say that you can get a supplement from the pharmacy. For some people it takes a while to work but when I take it after missing it because I run out - it works pretty fast. I have athritis in my hands and in comparison - it is extremely painful - and it will be the thumb joint that goes first - ouch

My plans today - okay - yesterday I started my Christmas shopping and think I will have to get a couple of bags for the presents for dd, gd and sil. Dd usually wraps my presents for the kids for me - like - arthritis or not I have to be the world's worst parcel wrapper but I don't think I want dd to wrap her own parcel.

I'm having brunch with dd tomorrow - and I got a birthday car for my sil to go with his Bunnings card - and I can give that to dd tomorrow - and ask about what the little kids among my great-grandchildren are into atm. The big girls like money - that is so easy and the grown-up boys get scratchies and the grown-up girls get skin care of some kind and one of my grandsons will tell me not to get all this stuff for them - BUT I WANT TO AND I LIKE IT AND WHY NOT?

And I even have a pressie for my sil's first wife - she is a wonderful person - perhaps like most people - we improve with age - I like her

If you are going to have a manic phase - isn't this this good part of Bi-polar - if that is what it is - enjoy it

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks @Decadian, I have heard x2 have died from the Storm Asthma. We had lots of doubt breaking floods the month my girl passed. Heavy rain and such weather reports, but better without the TV visuals.

Understand and sad for you about youth detention riots triggering your grief waves (high tide, tsunami...) We do have to cut ourselves a break (self compassion) because most people just don't 'get' it.

Have you tried otc osteo analgesia (the slow release one)? It doesn't help me. Must get back on omega3s. Don't like getting old, and when ya chubby its like society's just saying "your fault, suffer in silence" - maybe they have a point. But I think maybe not so black and white with food contaminations (chemicals), sedentary jobs, broken families, both parents out working, fast food outlets, pharmaceutical side effects, drs not addressing the obesity as a disease with patients (prevention & treatment), dare I say it works FOR the medical system - drumming up most their business, hmm.
Hmm, did I tell you I've become cynical? How can we not. A broken world.

I was reading another thread, a troubled young woman, and loved your comments about Christ & forgiveness, not condemnation like that of the mainstream church / pharacies at yhe time, who plotted against Him. We need real reminders of this grace, not the oppisite, especially in the thick of despair. Did me good to read that too thank you.

How's our @Former-Member, ?? Where are you friend? You OK? I'll have to come stalk you lol, big hugzzz

How are you @Former-Member ? And your girl? @Former-Member, @Apple, @Shaz51, @oceangirl,
And @eveyyone.. Just saying hi.

Hi @Former-Member 💜

Nice to hear from you.
Just having lunch and a cuppa. ☕🍰 Found some carrot cake. 😀

My girl is home today, so we're heading out very soon.

I still haven't shaken off this awful tiredness. I don't write much on here when I feel like this. I guess my body is adjusting to the exercise increase. Shock to the body, lol. 😂
The end result WILL be positive though.

Have you been doing your walking? Getting too hot for walking. 💃💃💪

Anyway, better get moving, lots to do.

Here's a cuppa for you. ☕🍰

Hi everyone. 😀💕

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member, I had yummy carrot cake yesterday with a friend. Yum

Glad you have your girl. I've had quite a week / year of celebrations with my son, They make life bearable (guess that's why the bible refers to them as "blessings" 🙂 )

No, I've been slack with walking again, my walking buddy gave up on me, she's very heavy poor dear. I Should have gone in the cool this morning, was lovely then, keep telling me where you're at with it, you inspire me.

Its a battle for me I guess because of the anemia and arthritis and weight - they make it hard, but really need to try push myself. At least the social phobia is less atm. That's a sealbreaker when it overcomes me and I can't exit home.
"REQUIRE MORE OF MYSELF" , maybe this can be a new mantra for me. Not sure how that fits in with Self-Compassion, must brainstorm that one lol. How is it that Dr Phil refers to it?

Thanks for your reply. Hugzz

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh gosh, just went outside to tidy a little and only pasted 20min before nearly fainting, everything went white and, well, glad I'm in bed & not on the ground with the ants. Too hot out still I guess, but did 1/2 fill my caged trailer, so every little bit counts. Just gotta get up again i guess and not give up, when feel better, x10 20min slogs = 200 = 3+hrs a day, all is not lost. Even 20min is good for me lol Done the dishes too oh yeah, and cooked big batch of fish patties. Must be the iron tablets kicking in.
