Re: Sleeping too much

Morning @Former-Member @Former-Member 💗💕

Monday mornings generally are quiet ...

Wow ... that's a lot going on with medical appointments @Former-Member .... but that's good in a way ...

With having had melanoma, and with other weird illnesses having cropped up in the family, with the anxiety of trying to deal with WH's state as it was last year, I was becoming nervous about my own health. I suffered a couple of panic attacks ... first one sent me to the doctor, second one sent me to hospital in an ambulance ... these in response to the escalating emotional aggression at the time. The best thing to do was to go and have all the tests done and find that I was fine at my core ... it was circumstantial anxiety driving the symptoms.

You have had a lot of circumstantial chaos to deal with this year too. I hope having a health profile done helps you to feel better about your overall health, and help you target a few specifics for improvement. Once your kidney infection is gone, I hope you can start up your walking again. That's one of the best medicines, right there.

How's the weather where you are ? Clear skies here ... top forecast of 34 .... hot one ... !!

☀️🌤⛅️🌦🌥

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

Usually when I'm awake I'm up and going in the mornings .... but WH has left the aircon or fan on in our room, and it's cool, like a hotel, very tempting to snuggle back down to sleep for a while ... just the thought of that means I am actually very tired even though I had a decent amount of sleep last night. We have a forecast of 34deg today though, and now my cold is gone I want to get out for a decent walk - WH cooked a beautiful lunch yesterday, but it was another heavy meal - so better to get going early. I had fruit for dinner last night to help balance it out.

WH didn't have the heavy meal .... cooked giant steaks and grilled veg for the rest of us, then had a small spanakopita himself .... and MIL barely ate ... she is taking a leaf out of his book and trying to copy his results ... I hope she doesn't take too many leaves .... taking her away with us on the trip ... I have a pair in them ... :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Will try to grab a snooze in the middle of the day today.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope

I did not know that you had melanoma - that is a scary issue/problem/situation (add another other suitable words) - my dd had two removed when she was a sweet young thing of 19 and I think she is in remission now - oh do I ever hope so

But yes - I have had malignant skin lesions myself - but I am not at all sure whether they were melanoma - it would be a precluder to a panic attack - add in all the other sub-terranian things in your life - you know them - let's not list them -

I am not at all surprised that you have had panic attacks -

Oh gee - you are in for a hot day - still waiting for more than one warm hour in a row in Melbourne - we have had more storms last night and this morning - wind and rain - walllllllllllll - the weather is not boring

And @Former-Member - you have your plate full as well - I am starting to feel really innocent around here - I guess that's because most of my crap is in the past - but it does have something to tell me

There was a time when I could get upset over practically a nothing - even a little tiny nothing - but in retrospect it was a big warning of someone burning out

And the other - later in life things change their values - I should start a thread on that one

Somethings matter less - priorities change

Thinking of both you girls - F&H travellling with WH and the kids - have you left yet and Tawney with a kidney infection - and other chaos

What can I post for you girls today - probably something one of you has already posted - let's see

Oh yes!!! - that's one of mine

Re: Sleeping too much

The melanoma was caught early @Decadian. That was a blessing. We have all sorts of autoimmune things that have cropped up in our generic cocktail, but that wasn't one of them .... and I was sun-protected growing up .... from an Ango-Celtic background myself ....

Glad you've worked out which day it is .... 😆 .... I have got a fuzzy brain today and have had to think twice several times today already ... trying to make sure I keep the right commitment on the right day ....

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks guys, glad you're not angry with me, (bpd fear of abandonment I guess or maybe just plain insecure). Appreciate the reassurance when needed, really. Decadian - you cracked me up - made me lol with your - mixing up the days etc. Memory is so taken for granted. Only last week, carrying 4 heavy grocery bags, I couldn't find the car and co cluded it was stolen and sat to calm myself before ringing police. Thank goodness it came back to me, phew!
F&H melinoma history must always niggle in the background. If it helps, my mum had melignant melanoma removed at 34 and no reoccurance. Hers was on the retina - she had her eye removed, cobalt radiation & major depression after (when I was 14), horrible time and every lump or freckle for years was panic stations. Now at 82 the cancer she has is not melanoma type. Have you passed the 5yrs yet?
Just do the best you can - eat healthy etc Maybe add some relaxation therapy. Hopefully your trip away will be good for you all.
Bridget, you're SEQld, yes? (memory like a siv here sorry). I hear Brizzy had bad storm. The full moon tends to do that around here in summer.
SPEAKING OF THE MOON - its said to visually be the biggest in decades, and it sure is a sight to see - like day out 2am. I must have woke x10 times through the night last night. grrr
Still in bed, feel heavy but need my cuppa. The back ache has eased thank goodness. Must watch my pennies with these extra drs apts lately. Annoying the good drs don't bulk bill - $25 gap for me. Ho him, no more retail therapy op shop expeditions for a while (how will I cope lol).

Enough said, very windy, gotta go investigate big tin crash outside - hope its not the tin roof haha

Re: Sleeping too much

Not avoiding you at all either @Former-Member. Just preoccupied with my own stuff. I'm really proud of how you pulled through your roller coaster day yesterday. Looks like S1 is turning out to be a fine young man....credit to you. I'm on the bus on my way to my appointment but wanted to say hi and hope today is kinder emotionally to you. Take it easy and treat yourself, you deserve it.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member

I am glad I am not the only person with a woolly brain - if I had thought about it yesterday I might have wondered if I looked like a forgotten cantaloupe - you know the one that got lost in the back of the fridge anything up to 10 years ago -

Ster-ange day yesterday - most peculiar momma

I had a friend where I worked years ago - and sometimes we would drive to work and other days get public transport - and one night she got the train home and found her car had been stolen and got the police and all the big deal - and guess what - she had left it at work. 0_|_]]

Anyway - it's been a long time since I had a sus anything taken off - over 5 years - it's dd I worry about and she will not discuss this - I am too interested - I want to know all the details - yeah - I am a pain in the neck because I want to know EVERYTHING. But she freaked when she was 19 and had to have surgery for melanoma and she rang up to ask me if I had had anything malignant and yes I had - her husband told me about that - we have to watch our skin around here - I am Anglo-Celtic also and our mother smeared us with so much zince we would have been more likely to have had problems with Heavy Metal complications.

I did not see the big moon - bad weather - but a few days ago I saw the almost full moon rising in the afternoon and yeah - it was bigger than usual

Here's a cuppa for you - imagine it is tea or coffee or bonox if you chose - I know this one is my pic - I searched and searched for a coffee cup - and this was my find

I have to go up to Medicare with my receipts from my psychologist - and then as I continue seeing her this year I will need to sort it out with my Private Insurance - life was meant to be easy - it was - it was - but that woman ate that fruit and so I woulda done

Re: Sleeping too much

Thanks @Former-Member, think I have a dose of DPD myself. Need you guys. Hope your apt goes well today, understand your fear of abandonment there.

Yes @decadiam, its all the forbidden fruit's fault & poor communication lol With Medicare, I got that app for my smartphone & wow - it works. Alternatively I was mailing the receipt in. Hope your day is good today & you get to see some bright moonlight.

I don't think I'll go back to therapy next year, too difficult to juggle finances and p/t psychologists and transport - not dealing with all that stress will be positive therapy in itself, though I do fear feeling alone.
Got a headache coming on, grr The neighbours dog isn't helping, she's bailed up the biggest bluetongue I've ever seen, thought it was a snake at first, really fat and probably a metre long, took my breath away. Think the dog will cop a nadty bite if she gets too close. Learn something new every day.

Well, betta take a headache tab & drive in for apt, really much rather stay in bed.
