Re: Sleeping too much

Aww, shucks, thanks guys, nice support there, appreciate it. Just got home feeling so whipped out I could barely breathe let alone carry the groceries up. Asthma puffa helped but my muscles are tired. After going so well. Oh well. The dog's pleased to see me, more than usual, as if instinctively knowing I had something special for him. I just bought in the perishables, the rest can wait in the car. Found that Himalayan salt at woolies, its suppose to be way better, especially with high BP. Overspent again. Just trying to catch my breath a min. I walked tall today, even felt less self conscious at kyb group.

At KYB group It was sad to hear two of their sons had friend suicide this week l, in their 40's. Its getting worse not better.

My unwell bro just sent some aweful pics of a naked woman claiming its proof his X-wife was cheating on him. I'm cross that he's done this, I cannot 'unsee' and while it looks like his x wife - its not her, he thinks I'm brainwashed not to see it. Just want to slap him in the face for being so vulgar. He said he sent it to everyone. Think he's crossed the line, with me. MI or not, its not appropriate. grrr Why can't I have a 'normal' family?

Did you get your walk in @Faith-and-Hope, ? Ever take the dog? How did WH Dr apt go? Imagine they want to do more tests before a firm diagnosis & treatment plan made. ??

@Former-Member, how ya doing my friend? Did you walk the dog? 3 walks a week min. I aim at every day then I can miss one or two when have to. Its accumulative too so doesn't have to be all in one hit. How's ya mood been?

@Former-Member, Bridget, what's this "too lazy to get in the car" business lol, No, honestly can relate. You will when ya ready, getting out the door, or in the car really is the hardest part. Like I said before, a couple houses into the walk I actually noticed IT FELT EASIER!!! True, yet putting my joggers on and bra etc was s such a drag. But one out there, it wasn't so bad. And so far the feet are not so bad after. Less weight down the track has gotta help that too. Keep going, F&H has done it, let's all get into walking at least 30min 3-4times a week (or equivalent - mowing my lawn takes an hour+, that's enough for that day, or washing the car, or vacuming the house.., but walking is nicer than all of these.

Need a cuppa. Magic soup & Chicken for tea tonight.

Thanks @Shaz51, what you been up to today?
@utopia, how are you, bringing you to this thread to catch my news, nothing spectacular, just trying to climb a few personal mountains, like all you other titans here (thanks for seeing us that way F&H)

Re: Sleeping too much

You had a huge day @Former-Member. All I managed was 25 min but I did go. I haven't achieved much today but tryuing not to get too mad at myself. I had my weekly appointment which was a bit messy but good to get out the way but I was a bit wrecked after and have struggled to get motivated. Im aiming to try and do at tleast 20 min a day even if just a stroll for my dog. he is an very active Kelpie and needs it much more than i do. In my old house I used to take him to the park every day if only to throw the ball and have him run but I've not been so great here. Her's hoping for new beginings. I hope that magic soup revitalises you.

Hi @Shaz51

How are you?

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member. On Saturday I drove to our highest mountain near my home and sat there with 360° views. Was very relaxing and meditative up there with just the animals and no people.
So no, I'm not climbing mountains this week. I cheated and drove to the top. Lol.

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member ... 🌷💜

Just posted this on Beer Garden but I will repeat it here for anyone I've missed ....

Back from the eye specialist with WH. His eye issue is a "vitreous detachment".

Found a description that probably says it better than I can:

A vitreous detachment is the separation of the vitreous (or gel) that fills the back of the eye from the retina. Symptoms of a vitreous detachment include flashes and floaters. The biggest concern when a vitreous detachment occurs is the risk of developing a retinal tear that can lead to a retinal detachment.

So I asked the question about weight-lifting and jogging, and the specialist responded with "not a problem" ..... grrr ...... but have to concede to his specialist judgement. He also said this won't be affected by flying ....

Usually he would see the person again six weeks later to monitor whether the vitreous detachment is pressuring the retina towards tearing .... so as we will be away by then he is seeing WH again in two weeks.

When you look at the bigger picture, putting this together with his circulation issues, leg cramps, feeling the cold more than others, torn muscles, etc it's another minor symptom of what is going on, but not enough to call him on it yet .... have to leave that with the GP .... sigh ....

Bad news - we're now living with the heightened risk of a retinal tear or detachment .... and no diagnosis of the ed yet .... and WH will be straight back into the regimen ....

Good news - there is no retinal tear at the moment .... we can still go on this trip .... there is another health issue logged that may be associated with an ed by an ed specialist when we eventually see one .... WH will be eating lunch and dinner again now that he can resume his gym workouts .... he's had another shot across his bow ....

A girlfriend helped me to work out this morning that we are actually up to year 7 with this thing .... and that's the average point where the next stage of change starts to happen ... so there is another source of hope to hold onto ....

🌷💜 ......... 🐠🐠🐠 ........ 🐬🐬🐬

Dont walk our dog often. He's on rocket fuel .... and that means I can't stop for coffee, not even to buy it .... and he takes a lot of management on the lead ... big and strong .... not relaxing at all ....

We have a guy who looks after our garden who used to work for our company, and he takes the dog walking five days a week for us. Sometimes WH has taken him jogging, but he has wrecked sections of MIL's garden where he was tied up, and even damaged her gate by pulling against it .... on rocket fuel ..... !! He's a joy to watch running around in the yard tho 😄 ..... and he's really smart. Worked out how to open the gate to his yard when he was 8 months old.
