Re: Sleeping too much
Anxiety is very annoying. I've been able to deal well with my old anxiety through therapy and practice. But am struggling since reconnecting with my first love & the thought of loving someone again. And then the thought of the abuse he suffered. I just have no control over his story. I'm finding it hard to have to wait - but wait is what I have to do - as it's his history - his story to tell.
But it's all new territory for me. And I need to be both strong and healthy - mentally - so I can be there & be present for him.

Re: Sleeping too much
I rarely am on top for long. It's VERY frustrating.
Yes, school holidays soon. 😀 sleepins.
Too much schoolwork, even on weekends. Does your son get heaps of assignments to do at home?
I'd sleep my life away if I was on my own.
I hope you find your way to good health too. I hope we both find the answer.

Re: Sleeping too much
Sorry you feel so exhausted lately, not coping, difficult to even getting out of bed - I do know the feeling? Really have to push against it physically, I know it sounds like I'm doingxa lot but its with lots of rests and I brag my achievements here as a way of rewarding myself - especially when I get all the wonderful feedback. Today's work was heavy, hard yard work I've been putting off for weeks. It takes me ages to wind up, especially when one tadk requires 3other big tasks to make the way. But it always seems impossible 'till I've done it. Most days I have to really get focused, obcessive, single minded, sometimes for the slightest task and sometimes in tears. Sometimes because I'm the only one if its gonna get done and sometimes because I I want to get to the end of the day and write in my diary at least one achievement a day. That's 7 a day, 30 a month 365 a year. Every little bit counts. You probably do more than you five yourself credit for. Blackdog does that, its not the truth. "Its OK just to breathe some days" Surrender it. You'll get there.
You said youre almost off anti anxiety meds. You're most certainly adjusting to that, but I'm wondering if yourecon antidepressants? Can't say but I'm on one that's recommended for PTSD which seems to be take the edge off anxiety, significantly, and doesn't make me gain weight. Perhaps you can ask.
I honestly don't know how to answer your quedtion , how have I been? If I get out of bed and shower, its a good day for me. Get very lonely. The forums help so much, particularly that I can finally talk about my MH, the SI etc...Do you get much out of the forums, really?
I'm looking forward to hearing how Faith-and-Hope's weekend goes too. Very exciting.
Big hug Bridget, lifting you up to the light, in my prayers xox

Re: Sleeping too much
I have tried so many anti depressants, I've lost count. They make me feel much worse. Tried HEAPS. I keep giving in and try another one, hoping it will help, but always feel worse.
So it's hard trying to live life without meds.
Sometimes I enjoy chatting on the forums, other times, if I'm really not feeling well, I still feel invisible. I guess sometimes I feel way too tired to try and fit in. Sometimes it feels like a huge effort to try and fit in.
Other times I don't care, I just chat. 😀
Like tonight, I just chat and it's ok. 💕
I like to think that I can help or encourage people on here.
You are amazing how you keep going and keep working on your house. 😊

Re: Sleeping too much
I'm sorry Bridget, tears for you, hang in there. Talk to God, learn Self-Compassion. Sometimes we block love that's right there for us to receive, its self loathing that stops us. Where did we learn to do that? Have lots of rests Bridget, do stuff inbetween, or visa versa, just do the best you can, that's all we can do xox

Re: Sleeping too much
Sometimes when I feel low etc for so long, I find it difficult to see the positive.
I reality, I shouldn't be complaining, I have what I need, but I don't have good health, energy etc to enjoy anything.
Sorry for whinging. I'll be ok eventually.
I like to achieve.
Like I said earlier, lucky I don't live alone, I'd probably sleep my life away.
There is an answer I will find it, I hope you do too, TAWNEY. 💜
Must be time to get ready for bed. 😴💕

Dearest @Former-Member
What good advise. Thinking about the positives. I always think a good idea might be body work.......just lie down and feel each part of your body as your own.
I've got many of my own problems, I've been hysterical on being with my husband and forgot the great positves that I've had in my life this week. Tonight, I'm cleaning the loungeroom out and the side room.
Gee, have I got a lot of junk.
Thanks for the message, I'm readng it and it's inspiring me.
