Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member. A hug - a smile - a genuine nice thought - that gives me more ooomph than a can of bourbon. I was proud of the fact that you chose hot chocolate instead.
But I do understand that some days you do need something to help lift your spirits or your energy.
I hope tomorrow that things will be a lot smoother for you. Do you have any plans for tomorrow?

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member, good to hear you bouncing back today, little plusses all at up. I'm ok, stable / flat line lol haha!

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member. Flat line - I used to call that state 'level'. Not happy. Not sad. Just level. Some days being level was great. It was far better than being in my depression vortex. But I still wanted to feel more. Level was a surviving state for me. Nothing more.
Now I'm feeling better - I say I'm content. Happiness is brief moments. But contentment means being okay with my life. Living as suits me. Maybe not someone else, but where I find peace

Re: Sleeping too much

Hey @utopia, @Former-Member

yeah I did bounce back a bit. Tomorrow I'm going to ikea with S2s girlfriend so it will be good for us both to get out the house. She is doing really well without him although I know she's missing him. He's half way through his study tour in America. I hope you both have a good night. Glad to hear things aren't too bad @Former-Member. I was a bit worried as youve had a rocky day. Tomorrow's a new day for us all💜😊

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member I think it was you that asked what movie we watched. It was Age of Adeliene, I think it's called.
A really funny movie worth watching is, Central Intelligence. 😂

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member. My god you are brave. IKEA. I plan to use my MI so I never have to go to IKEA again in my lifetime. Lol. I get frustrated having to assemble things. But it does sound like it would be good to spend the day with your friend.
Oh, I forgot about the Swedish Meatballs. Deliscious. Maybe I will go to IKEA again. If only for those meatballs. Have a few for me

Re: Sleeping too much

@utopiaYeah it's more than a bit dangerous for me to go to ikea, the impulsive spending side. I've just paid all my bills now so I can't get caught out. Now there a chance this is my forever home I'll get hooked up in wanting things. I'm a bit crazy but don't mind assembling it. We are going to try for a cheap meal out too, about the only place I can afford to eat out👍😊💜. It's kind of weird going out with who will probably be my daughter in law one day, I'm feeling old. When she talks about wanting kids I start shaking knowing I may not be that far off being a grandma ooohhhh it's scary. You too will do this one day but youre safe now. I did the maths and I had one of my kids at the same age you had yours but I'm not telling you which one yet😝😆

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member. Lol. He says he's not having any kids coz all they do is spend your money. Lol. Cheeky monkey.
Why not window shop as you walk around IKEA. See what you like & then plan to buy it next visit - if you still want it. Leaving credit cards - if you have any - at home is a great way to go shopping. Just take a little cash for your lunch. As I said - if you see something that you really want. Go back another day when you have the money.
If I won tattslotto - I would go on a massive spending spree. I'll take you with me.
I now know the name of my son's girlfriend. There are two in the same year level with the same name. Blond or brunette. We - my sisted niece mum and I - worked out it's the blond. Lol. God no. I don't want to be a grandmother until he's 30.
My battery is going flat - both mine and my mobiles - so I'll say good night and talk again tomorrow

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member It's been ages since I went to IKEA. I love the food there. It's probably the only reason I would go there.
Meatballs and mash, Swedish hotdogs and all the pastries. Yum 😀

We found a Scandinavian cafe nearby. Had the meatballs and mash. Delicious.
Nighty night. 💕

Goodnight everyone. Gosh it's so late. Hoping to get up early. 😯💕😴

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh cripes yes @Former-Member

I have passed that stage of my life - and yes - having spinal pain is socially more acceptable - so I can pull that card - I don't like having people mill around near me - I have been knocked over and I have to have the paramedics come to set me on my feet again

And people have no answer to that one - thank God for small mercies

But I feel enraged for your sake for the totally useless crap this person poured on your aching head - {my head would be aching after that little conversation) - going to church groups is not family - it takes energy - we have to "fit in" and I am not that kind of person - true - I will behave in a certain away to have the content in a situation -

Yet this so-called friend has the cheek to say to you to get out more - GO OUT MORE!!!!!! while rattling on about family

If family is thin on the ground that is worse than "salt in the wound" - it's like grabbing salt and rubbing it in with both hards - that was such a cruel way to carry on

You did good @Former-Member - saying you might as well be dead in comparison - I love that - I must put it into my list of slick answers -

I never see my bro - ah well - our parents died and so he turned up at those events - but after putting up with all the family stuff around me while I felt flayed after my mother's funeral - I snarled at my bro - I do not speak like that to anyone - except him obviously - and my family drove away and I went inside my house and passed out on the floor -

So I guess that's what happens when we are emotionally overloaded

Yes - we feel bad - and one thing I noticed before we had pension relief and I was making trips to the CAB for food vouchers - saying I felt like a beggar - and people including family - would rave on about their holidays - did they ever - with me wanting to go away and not having the money this was my nemesis -

When there is something we just cannot have - and there will always be something like that - having other people trying to convince us that this or that will replace what is lost to us - and pickpickpick at our situation - Get out more - get your nose to the grindstone - get your fingers into some pies - hey - look at life, think positive -

Your so-called friend is so lucky you warned her that you had to end the conversation - I would have just hung up

You did good @Former-Member

This is me patting you on the back
