Re: Sleeping too much

Yeah @TAB Definately not all beer and skittles.

@Former-Member He's just started at headspace and is seeing a good psychologist. Just had one session with another booked for next week. They've been good. He stopped school a few weeks ago and has been better but has to regroup as he starts Tafe after these holidays. I guess it's wait and see how that goes but I'm hoping he'll have had 3 or 4 sessions by the time he starts. Does your daughter have anxiety or depression too?

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh that's good @Former-Member that your boy has counselling. No my girl is fine, she just gets overworked with school as she likes to achieve high marks.

Yes, yay! is what I think too @Faith-and-Hope. Was wondering when I'd get started. I don't like being "stuck", I like to move forward. Glad you got a foot massage today.

Re: Sleeping too much

He's the only one I can't reason with @Former-Member. My 19 yr old lives away from home and the 20 and 21 yr old finally at least can see things when you discuss it. It doesn't mean they always help out but it's not a constant battle. This one knows everything and puts walls up but I've been here before with all three at one stage or another usually from 15-18.

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh @Former-Member I'm sooooo happy for you. I thinkit was a good idea to start the EMDR on the traumatic birth first. It gives both you and your psychologist a xchance to see how you react and cope with the process. Well done you!
Did your psychologist explain that tomorrow you may feel totally worn out & maybe emotional? It doesn't happen to everyone, but it did hit me the day after my first session. But didn't happen on my second session - which was the big issue. So just in case - log on here tomorrow and chat or call your psychologist or another support person.
you may find that 1 session is enough or that you need 2 sessions for the birth.
Whatever number you need - you are on your way.
I really am pleased for you. Big smile on my face.

Re: Sleeping too much

I'm going to have to try and sleep now @Former-Member, sorry. I hope the counselling goes well for your boy. And I hope you sleep well. 💜😴

Thanks @utopia. 😀 I'm relieved we've started, but feel I have so many traumas I need EMDR for. Oh gosh. Seems a long way off, but have to start somewhere and it's better than being "stuck". Yes she explained a bit about brain being tired etc.
Are you feeling better? Sorry I'll have to read reply tomorrow. Need sleep. 3am last night knocked me around. Haha! Good to chat though. I just need to do it earlier. 😀❤

Nightynight @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @TAB etc..... can't think anymore too tired. 😴💜

Hope the antibiotics start working straight away @TAB 😊
