Re: Sleeping too much

Dear @Decadian

I get what your writing but I also ........feel like smiling a little and feel sad inside myself.

For many years, my highly neurotic self would say...yes, but Mum's had a terrible life. Just terrible.

And then when I was in my 40s.....I let go of her monologue and saw it for what it is.

And I started reading all these studies I've done but in a new way. Yes, my Mother splits. She pit all her unconcious fury of how she was unloved by her parents onto me and even when I was 16 years old, she pushed me out of home almost every week when I had a car accident for over six weeks I was in a coma. Now she is back in Western Australia, she can't stop slagging me off even though she is 74 years old, she has this stupid ...Im the matriach .....and keeps hold of a brother of mine.

I dont care. My oldest son had a terrible teenage years and he is sorting himself out..using illegal substances occasionally........

But has chosen to see a paying Psychotherapist. That is just so showing that he has a growing spirit.

My yougest son had his MRI results last week and.......chose to tell Nerologist he smokes weed. Wow. He is just so mature.

When I read about your journey re: your Mum I feel that when you wrote:

very bright child who had the courage to fight back and be myself

I felt that this is what my sons are doing. I feel so proud of you.

Blessings to you @Decadian

Re: Sleeping too much

@Former-Member. I'm glad you are okay and it wasn't a heart attack. Some panic attacks mimic thesigns of hheart attacks - so it's always good to check it out straight away.
I think your decision to delete their numbers - although painful - might be for the best. You need love and kindness, understanding and support. Not abuse.
Please take care of yourself today. Little steps. Moment by moment. If you need to rest or sleep - do it. If you need to go for a walk - do it. Don't forget your friends. They can help support you, as can we on this site.
You have done a brave thing. That takes guts. You are strong. ♥♥♥♥

Re: Sleeping too much

That's a fantastic pic @PeppiPatty

I love Sailing Ships - I have two prints in my bedroom - I am not sure how these prints came into my family but they are important in some way I have never been told - my mother gave me the prints perhaps 40 or so years ago - telling me I had to keep them

I have some old photos and one or both of those prints are in the background - I have always kept the saling ships hung on the walls somewhere - I have no intention of ever getting rid of them

Fantastic

Re: Sleeping too much

Most definitely..those big tall sailing ship pic's . .so majestic. I remember one as a child.
My pa & I used to draw them together.
I've always been impressed too.
I think it's the far horizon, tall rapid waves...much like life is 😊 @Decadian, @Peppi Patty

Re: Sleeping too much

I just took a couple of photos of my prints - they are rather large so I will make them small for the post here

One of them is a crystal clear beautiful painting in new computer's album - the other - I'm not sure about - let's see how they go

Ah - haha - great - I have got one of them looking really good - the other one is similar but bigger - it's resisting editing - btw - the bright flash is from my camera - it's not an astonishing light over Bass Strait

Re: Sleeping too much

Thank you @Apple blossom.
Sometimes the yards are long, solitary..but I try & recall happy memories from childhood.
The happy ones are playing outside.
Today they are choosing water fights with spray guns.
Kids grow quickly, as does time.
Hmm reflective this afternoon.
I've found a new artist 'Angel Olsen' I've not heard to listen to, whilst I get a spaghetti on. It's a recipe that takes long cooking.:ok_hand:
Hope you are having a nice day in your world today.☺🌼💙🌅
