Re: Sleeping too much
Yay for your pyjama day @Former-Member .... 😄❣
Yes, a gap year is 100% on the cards for D3 next year .... but not sitting around on her tooshie .... she will still need to be doing part-time and volunteer work .... maybe some art courses that have no assessment attached to them so she can just soak in them and reinstate her love of art .... nothing high stress so she can heal ... 🌷💜

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member
I had a busy day yesterday and then went to sleep too early and was awake in the middle of the night - bor-ing - this happens sometimes - then I go back to sleep and sleep too late
Yesterday I bought a newspaper - the weather forecast was for a warm day yesterday and then the weather would be cold and wet and guess what - they were right - cold and wet - I am not going to buy another newspaper for a while
I feel much better in warm weather - my domestic help comes just after 9.00am - but at least I washed yesterday's dishes during the night - aw - after a broken night I would have liked to stay exactly where I was but Friday's are busy days and I have to get up earlier - ah grouch!!
My cat is being a pain - maybe she has a pain - she is getting on in years and for the first time she is feeling heavy - I have started giving her less food and wait until she tells me about her empty plate - and she wants to go in and out and in and out and when she is inside she wants to sit next to me or on me or lay on the bed beside me and maybe it's time for her to have her check-up at the vet - just to make sure she is okay - maybe her arthritis is giving her a hard time
Perhaps your youngest and my cat are fed up with winter - well - why not - I am

Re: Sleeping too much
I hope you have a rest on the weekend and do something nice for yourself. ❤
Pajama day sounds good @Former-Member I can imagine you are aching, not only from the weather, but all the work you've done lately. You sound a bit like me, do too much, then pay for it later. Rest up. 💜
I'm ok thanks. Just tired and frustrated from not being able to do more. I get pains from tension etc, doing things I hate (sorting things). But I'll be ok.
School holidays soon, sleep ins, yey!
Going to Russian ballet is on the plans, not sure if you already read that.
Have always wanted to go.
Hi @Decadian. I noticed you messaged on here just now. 😀❤

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi All. Got call from new job. sounding dodgier by the minute. They've had job shut down for safety breach, 3 weeks wait for police clearance, has turned into ' they dug deeper and it's all ok' .. told them I haven't been to that particular site before even tho I am inducted for another site with same company.
So, it will be drive 25kms, find out out that they are wrong and I am right, turn around and drive home again.
anyway, they were talking possible start tomorrow, and 'keep my phone with me' .. not how I operate lol re 'uncertainties' .. thought about it and contacted them back, saying that I forgot I had an 'important' appointment tomorrow. Well, was just getting in first, re uncertainty and sounds like they don't know what they are doing, but at least know I know what I am doing tomorrow now haha..
The rest will sort itself out in due course.. lol ![]()

Re: Sleeping too much
@Faith-and-Hope. I love the idea of a course with no assessments. Just so you can go in and enjoy your passion and learn. Our snall town has a number of snall community interest groups - especially in the arts and craft sector. Not courses as such - just meeting up weekly and learning and doing - with no judgements - for all levels of experience. More a supportive environment.
Maybe there are a couple of these types of groups in your area that your girl can join next year, along with some part time work.

Re: Sleeping too much
That gap year sounds like a good idea @Faith-and-Hope
My gd had a gap year - I think she was in her second year when she got CFS - and now is into body art - maybe that is her forte
However - she did work through the gap year - I agree - it's a good idea to be occupied - school has been hard for her but I know she still wants to study - maybe some preparation for study at higher levels could help - maybe TAFE
Voluntary work sounds like a good idea too
I wish you and her the best with all of that - and hope the next 2 weeks achieve what's required to graduate
