Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hi All

There is a thread operating on the Lived Experience Forum under Night Shift where members who are having trouble sleeping for any reason give a bit of a shout-out, to see if there is anyone else sleepless and looking for company. It's been such a great thing, I thought I would start one over here too.

I have had the odd few nights where I have woken up on and off, and my kids have been having a bit of trouble some nights too, depending on what has happened during the day.

Being a carer can be lonely too, so if you are making an after-midnight cup of something hot, and wonder who else might be doing that too, maybe have a look-in here and see if anyone else is about.

Good morning all, trust everyone has a good day.

Bright sunny day here, birds are signing sun is shining, should.be a nice day.
Overslept here by over an hour. Children dressed and lunches made in record time. Runnimg oit the door now to get them to school on time.
If.omly the children would share my enthusiasm for gettimg to school in time lol.

@Faith-and-Hope, whew, that's huge. From a Christian perspective, we've seen some big moves of one sort or another ourselves, and when they happen in God's timing, they really come together. Mind you, that doesn't translate to easy and plain sailing... being in the right place at the right time can still be painful too. You've got thinking time, I'm sure you'll be carefully testing the idea to see if it's the right way to go.

And Baileys sounds nice, ta.

I know better than to question when things come out of left field like this .... and there is usually a fleece involved. When we moved overseas some years ago, many doors had to open for it to happen .... and all of them had to open. If any had remained closed, it couldn't have come about ..... eg there had to be an English speaking school within reasonable distance of where we were living ..... the kids (x3) would all have to secure a place there ..... we had to achieve a conscription exemption for my husband ..... we had to find a special needs school close by ..... etc etc..... and it all happened .... all boxes ticked.

This is another such occasion.

It may be just the thought that doing this is possible that frees up S2 to come back out of his shell. And WH's e.d. is not out of the closet yet ..... it might be that time spent in Melb sees him treated over there away from having to reveal it all to family and friends ..... for WH'a sake ..... and disconnecting from his family is likely to be a big part of that too, especially MIL. And this move will devastate her too ..... she thinks WH has chosen her over me, and now he is set to drop her at a moments notice and move interstate.

Thank you for this post this morning. I woke up feeling devastated, but writing about it here to you, I am starting to see purpose to it already.

We ended up back here after two years last time. I am predicting the same again now. I think two years will see massive chAnges occur.
