Thanks @Former-Member, that morning treat you sent me looks like a nice hot chai latte, one of my favourites.

Now over this lovely cuppa, since I havent had breakfast yet, I will add a piece of toast and honey. Yum.

How am I you ask? Tired I think, just very tired. Like all the life has been sucked out of me, I feel lifeless. Still not sleeping unfortunately.

How about you - are you okay? You have been getting around a fair bit checking on everyone else, and leaving words of wisdom, but what about you?

Much much much better than my worst.

Not had a trigger that has progressed beyond initial shakes and weakness in quite a while. I am now able to think through these and brush them off using distractions to push them aside in a healthy way rather than incubating them in the denial pot. A far cry from when I couldn't stop crying and thought I would never have a free thought again. 👍🏼

Still opening the Russian dolls, they seem to be never ending. I hope I've opened more than are yet to pop. I can't complain because I prayed and prayed to be out of that dark vortex and I am, at least for now. So that alone makes me happy. It's a new level of happiness. I'm not sure my old happy will ever be back but there is a new happy that is equally if not more satisfying in some ways. I know where I came back from and I know what I just barely survived. It was not quite the way I would have wanted, it certainly wasn't elegant or pretty. But then nothing less than hope on a rope was going to get me out of where I was 😛 .

Yes I know.. that's probably just riddles. But that is the best you will get from me at the moment 😉

Thanks for explaining. I understand what you are saying. And those Babushka Dolls are a very good analogy arent they? Keep peeling off the layers and exposing another hidden gem underneath. Satire!

I'm glad you are out of the dark vortex you described. Can I ask if you have been having any therapy to help you get through that? I have had Exposure Therapy and CBT, as well as EMDR, and wonder if you have had either of those or perhaps something else. And what your thoughts are as to effectiveness. I had hoped that my therapy would mean I wouldnt find myself in the state I've been in over the past week or so. But I guess, in reality, there are always going to be those times when we find ourselves back in a deep hole. The hope however is that the hole is not so deep as before, and we find ways of climbing out of them a little quicker with practice. Oops, there I go, talking in your riddles.

You write extremely well Tooky, I wonder is your profession related to writing in some way? No pressure to answer this one if you dont want. I am really just pondering the possibility.

I suppose I could drag myself away from the couch for a while to join you guys @Former-Member I used the last of the milk last night so it will have to be tea for me today also - would love a hot chocolate though *Zoe sighs as she knows she has the hot chocolate container open but no milk to add it too!!*
