Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hi All

There is a thread operating on the Lived Experience Forum under Night Shift where members who are having trouble sleeping for any reason give a bit of a shout-out, to see if there is anyone else sleepless and looking for company. It's been such a great thing, I thought I would start one over here too.

I have had the odd few nights where I have woken up on and off, and my kids have been having a bit of trouble some nights too, depending on what has happened during the day.

Being a carer can be lonely too, so if you are making an after-midnight cup of something hot, and wonder who else might be doing that too, maybe have a look-in here and see if anyone else is about.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

I'm wondering if anyone knows a place i can go stay for help to get back on track? I'm just so unmotivated I'm dying here. I know it will cost money. I'm just so stuck in a rut I'm worried I won't surface this time..
If I were my own psychiatrist I'd put me in a 'Rest Home' with lots of structure and regular healthy meals and daily coynselking, and a walking group each day...

It would be good Just to experience being accountable for a while, and to know someone will come check on me if I don't show up... that caring for a couple of weeks might help me rebuild what I need to give myself. I'm feeling really broken and tired.

Just thought someone on this side of the forums might know an 'inbetween' (not hospital) place to go, when ya not 'critical' but need a boost. Maybe a health farm, or a rehab... where ya not just plopped at the door and left on ya own, part of a group... Love suggestions. Thanks 🕊️

@Former-Member

There are some supported accommodation options available, not sure if these would suit, what state/territory are you looking at?

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Yeah @Former-Member, I'd have to keep my Gorgeous Georgia dog. I have a good little 2br cottage ATM, 5mobths into a 12 month lease. Building a rental history. Was thinking more in terms of a holiday, or health retreat.. or something in between. Doubt I'd quality as that needy on paper. Not that I wanna be. But there were a couple of 50+ places I'll look at again later. Never knew these places were available... really good to know thanks 😊👍
