I saw you 'liked' the rose buds we messed with last night ..... lol .... tried something new anyway .... ✅ I am going to make a cake with lavender oil and lavender buds in it .... that's my bohemian side on show right there ... probably gonna freak FSIL's family out a bit .... but no apologies for being 'different' ..... 😊💕
History fascinates me, always has, and trekking back through old or even ancient culinary practices has given me a lot more understanding about my cultural background.
There's a church service on in English this morning that I'm going to pop into with D1 ..... didn't factor the timing very well, cos I booked a hair appointment (taming of shrewish locks) that starts just before the service finishes .... but anyway .... it will do me good to go .... trying to fit in more self-care aka your example .... and it's Saturday .... 😊
Then there will be the making of the cake. I will post a pic when I have achieved something with it .... a lot have shops have opened up now selling quirky bits and pieces for cake-making. My friend works in the cooking industry so we give something new a go every now and then. Nothing like experimenting on new extended family .... right ? 😏 Keeps everybody guessing .....
Think the mods are going to float a thread about CG's shortly, so keep an eye out for it .... I am ..... needs explaining and a chance to ask questions .... this 'title' popping up has caused some confusion where it hadn't previously.
it's cooler here today, which I am pleased about. I had planned to wear a jacket tonight cos I'm not in my best figure at the moment .... lol .... and we have a lot of "beautiful people" floating around, including in-laws ..... so I will be more comfortable with a jacket on all night. It's a meet-and-greet on the FSIL side .... and being mother-of-the-bride puts me firmly under scrutiny .... just gotta breathe and be me .... 🌷💜
