Your my special friend. Remember when we first met and you and me just......clicked and then we found out that we pretty much thought the same way. I will always remember you being so tough and loving to your s-children.

It will be really busy all the way up to the wedding @Shaz51 .... but I am having to support the regimen my hubby is stuck in as a part of his illness cos it's the only way to keep him pacified and everything steady .... so it's a bit hard to do something you know is not good for him, and not good for us .... but we are stuck on these tracks until he breaks out of the denial stage one way or another and we can get him the help he needs ....

Still ... this is what we've got .... and along with driving me crazy it also takes him out of the house and into the company of his mother 2 - 3 times a day .... she thinks it's wonderful .... but it's feeding her emotional dysfunction as well ....

What can you do ?? Bloom where you're planted .... 🌷🌹🌸🌺🌼🌻💐 ..... what else .... ??

Its been a year full of distractions along with the stresses. I am thankful for all the small mercies along the way.

Bloom where you planted worx sometimes ... 2 of my transplants are taking so that is good. My Lillypilly is shootig lots of new leaves and seems to like its new spot ... I moved it a year ago ... it is quite exposed with a lot of wind.... the apple has not died yet ... so I am guessing it will work too.

Sibs and I were transplanted a lot ...

I have son's birthday dinner tomorrow after concert ... massively anxious not because if him or the music ... but because of our social situations and feeling very alone ... at least a few people are coming for him.

I realised that one day when I was busy trying to take photos of the kids .... it's just not the same through the lense of a camera as it is being in the moment with them ....

My husband came out of hospital and already winging he has eaten his daily packet of lollipops and packet of barley sugars.........he thinks that his blood sugar of 3 1/2 means that it will never change. Mind is borderline (curses) probably because I took jelly crystals for lunch when I was in primary school.

I am sorry to hear about yout uncle - I can't see from here how old he was - but in his 90s - sure - that is a good innings - and we grieve our elders when they pass - and honour them as we should

I have two elderly uncles - no doubt their time will come too

I did not realise this was the Carers' Side of the Forum - but here I am

I don't really quallify - but then - I do ask tricky questions

What happens when people are not even carers because the main carer is totally convinced that the sun will not rise in the east unless they check it out every morning and shove the other daughter out of the picture

And Mum - snarling at me to "Gedoudahere" - not at all conducive to a good visit - even then - why go when I would come home crying my eyes out -

So my days of not being a carer might count - I had not asked myself the question

But yes - today I had news of a death too - an on-line friend I have been in touch with for years - and the best I could do was to leave a message on his mobile phone and hope his family will check for messages and find how highly I thought of him - and what a kind and gentle man he was

One problem with on-line friends - what happens when the end comes? In this case I know his name and I have been in touch even though he was finding it too hard to send messages after having a string of strokes

I feel a bit fragile tonight

You and @Former-Member are self-carers @Decadian .... I know you have your daughter .... and she sticks closer than @TAWNEY's son does at the moment .... but essentially you have to help carry yourselves forward .... and I must say, you both do it with style !! 😊❣

There are carers on this side of the forums that have an mi of their own as well as caring for a child, parent, spouse or other with mi issues ... we're a real mix of circumstances, but everyone is welcome ....

This thread operates like a drop-in coffee shop .... like Night Shift and Sleeping Too Much are on the LE side ....
