Something’s not right

Feeling...

Feeling...

A mixture of numb and I'm not sure how to describe it but like there's a buffering wall between me and the rest of the world and nothing is different from anything else - someone yelling at me or someone talking to me is just all the same except then all of a sudden I cry and there's no reason. Then back to nothingness. I don't know who I am or where the living me has gone.

Re: Feeling...

Hi @Former-Member,
sometimes radio talk-back distracts my mind & sends me off to sleep.

Re: Feeling...

Hi all,

im going to try some music tonight. its been such a long day. i'm coming down with a cold/ or perhaps just have a cold now.. blergh sniffle. i had some really tragic news about one of my students tonight and really not sure how im going to manage that ... not even sure how im going to manage it personally really. im so overwhelmed by everything that life just keeps throwing. maybe the universe is waiting for me to crack!

sigh

@Former-Member

This bad news - does it have anything to do with your students or is it entirely different

Of course - if it is a different issue - well no - you have to leave that outside - but if this affects your students in some way - then you can open the subject there -

But a cold might just be a blessing - no one needs to take their cold out to spread it around - no one wants to join the cold-party

A sick day might be necessary - bad news and a cold are enough reason to spend your day repairing your body and your soul

@Former-Member

That's a tough one - you do need to be prepared - and I have no idea what it happening so I can't advise

I know that my work on the Grief Line as a TC did prepare me to discuss death with my students and also with the members of the Youth Group where I was a Church Youth Leader

But those skills - depending what kind of issue you are facing here - need to be informed

Can you find info or someone to help you will this?

As this is your student then it's not something you can ingore

Maybe this is something to discuss with other people working where you teach

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful

Hi @Former-Member

Its earlier over here in the west, and I have just come home ...

So sorry to hear you have had that bad news. I know they are only small things, but maybe light a candle for him, and set something beside it that represents comfort ? Sometimes "things" can help carry our emotions forward, like taking some of the strength of feeling we have and just resting it on an object sometimes.

I don't know if that helps you, but I hope so. Sending you warm hugs and gentle thoughts tonight ❤️🌷❤️

Hi @Decadian and @Faith-and-Hope

Yes, i havent gone to work today, just feeling too overwhelmed. I'll do some research and contact some services that may be able to support him as well. will also email other key staff at school about putting a plan in place for when hes back.

i'm not feeling well either, massive headaches and just catching cold after cold or other bugs. sigh. going to the drs today as i'll need a cert anyway for today.

i just do not get this whole world, lifes problems and tragedies, i dont get any of it, why does everything have to be so hard? i probably sound like a 12 year old but nothing makes any sense! i just wish there was a book that answered the WHY questions so that i know there is some sort of a point or reason... though then i'd probably just argue with the point or reason... maybe im just difficult lol.

Re: Feeling...

No, I don't think so @Former-Member.

Probably more of us have these "perfect storm" moments more than you realise, where a set of circumstances seem to align all at once, and they're not good ..... I refer to our family as "lottery ticket people" for the number of times we seem to draw a set of short straws all together !! It gob-smacks other people around us too, like you couldn't even script it that way !!

But other people have it worse than us. I know they do, and I am thankful that whatever we encounter we manage to scrape through. I firmly believe that maintaining whatever faith and hope you can muster contributes to that ....... ❣

Sound like you are doing a great job of piecing your day together @Former-Member. Just keep swimming 🐠 !!

Have you had your bloods checked recently ? Maybe you've got a dip in Vit D or Magnesium or something going on too.

Hugs 💜🌷💜
